Anyone have any ideas why my Outlook would suddenly not want to load?
I've had mine bomb while loading too. Here's what I do:
1) right-click on bar on the bottom (the one with the running programs)
2) Select Task Manager from the menu
3) Click on the Processes tab
4) Click on the Image Name column header to sort by name
5) Locate OUTLOOK in the list, right-click, and select "End Process"
6) If there's more than one, do that for each
Then try restarting it.

To the staff, I am thinking of an idea for my own blog on the state of progressive talk radio especially in context with my being able to listen or now not listen to some shows.
I was thinking of something early next week before the DC trip. Anyone have a day preference?
Ah, just one week to go until the DC meet-up.

Maybe I should get one. . . my drive to work would take a little longer, but in the summer, it might be worth it.

This size needs to be registerd becuase it is 150 cc, but 50CC ones down here don't need registration.
They make a lot of sens for things like going to the store, or running errands. For us, it just makes so much sense, especially with Bob working from home 2-3 days a week.

btw, I just got the full Brit version of the Sarah Jane Adventures Pilot - Invasion of the Bane - in avi format for the big transfer to DVD.
Would it be simpler for me to burn all of them to CDs rather than going from my external hard drive to LI's laptop?
I'm *really* looking forward to being able to watch these on TV instead of a computer screen.

It may take longer simply because I would probably avoid the highway with it.
But, all the money I could save, come the cold weather, I could buy my new Yaris that I want.

The laws in GA are: 50cc and above, they need to be registered, and you need to get a motorcycle license.
The guy was explaining to us that 50ccs are very small - one person only - and could not be used on the interstate. Even the 150cc one we are looking at has a top speed of 60, and I don't know how long I would want to keep the engine wound up to maintain that speed.

Scooters? Feh.
I've gotten the bike out....(early this year) and have already ridden a couple of days.
Good for the ticker, good for the environment, and I get to sneer at all the gas stations I ride by on the way in! (hi test, $3.55/gal in Watertown Square this morning.)
But I'm less than 4 miles from the office....I realize that's not a practical solution for everyone. (and I don't ride during the winter, but I know some hardcore folks that do. If gas stays this high, I may consider buying the gear and going for it.)

There's still the big question of how would the files get transferred? It would require either a network crossover cable or a USB cable and some finagling.
For the USB cable, it would probably also require both laptops to be the same OS: either PC or Mac.

Well, like I said, the files are on an external hard drive. I could either just bring the drive with a cable or burn all the files to CDs and just give them to LI.

ahhhh.... I missed that part. I would say no, then, on the burn files to CD part...
If it uses a USB cable to connect, then it should be no problem at all. If it uses FireWire, make sure Livin has a FireWire port on his laptop.

:star: does have her motorcycle license!
And, yeah 50cc...jeebus.
I learned on a 250cc...and even that felt like it couldn't keep up with some of the other bikes.

Hey...don't blast those yellow magnet (cause you 'could change your mind' about 'supporting the troops') folks too much ....they just believe all $1.99 of the proceeds are going to the troops or to a troop charity....
They don't bother reading the fine print (ie, 10% of the proceeds go the the 'troops' - gee...like you can really be totally sure and trust that ;))
