So... if you got news, post it! That includes those that are paying attention to the exit polls.

I will be eagerly awaiting the outcome... ok -- I am nervously awaiting the outcome.

Dean talking about rules and such and says that no back room deals should be happening... I hope not dude.

Gawd... tweey saying ALL the polls show that McCain will win agaist either Hillary or Barack...

UM... No tweety. that is not true.

PLUS none of those polls mean a DAMN thing. They are hypothetical polls asked of people who have LAND LINES.

I dare the pollsters to start calling those that have cell phones only. you will see a much different result.

Nuns turned away as well... they lacked proper Voting ID.

Indiana nuns lacking ID denied at poll by fellow sister

By DEBORAH HASTINGS – 8 minutes ago

About 12 Indiana nuns were turned away Tuesday from a polling place by a fellow sister because they didn't have state or federal identification bearing a photograph.

Sister Julie McGuire said she was forced to turn away her fellow members of Saint Mary's Convent in South Bend, across the street from the University of Notre Dame, because they had been told earlier that they would need such an ID to vote.

The nuns, all in their 80s or 90s, didn't get one but came to the precinct anyway.

"One came down this morning, and she was 98, and she said, 'I don't want to go do that,'" Sister McGuire said. Some showed up with outdated passports. None of them drives.

They weren't given provisional ballots because it would be impossible to get them to a motor vehicle branch and back within the 10 days allotted by the law, Sister McGuire said. "You have to remember that some of these ladies don't walk well. They're in wheelchairs or on walkers or electric carts."

Nonetheless, she said, the convent will make a "very concerted effort" to get proper identification for the nuns in time for the general election. "We're going to take from now until November to get them out and get this done.

Gee, thank you voter rights advocates. Good thing you stopped the sisters from voter fraud.

The new math...

Asked at the Indianapolis Speedway this morning, Hillary confirms that she views the threshold for delegate victory as the count that includes Michigan and Florida.

"I think it's 2,209," she said.

It's the logical extension of her demand that the states be seated, and also a gambit to push off the drumbeat of inevitability that Obama is trying to establish with a countdown to 2,025.

Clinton also declined to associate herself with Terry McAuliffe's prediction that she'd win Indiana.

"I never make predictions," she said.

Obama, slightly more boldly, says he feels "good" and that it's going to be "close."

Al Gore Speaks about '08 race...

Al Gore did not rule out an endorsement in the Democratic presidential race, but all but ruled out a speculative scenario some have spun out as the battle between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama goes on and on -- namely, that he would emerge as a compromise nominee with either Clinton or Obama as his running mate.

In an interview today on National Public Radio, Gore at first laughed and was somewhat at a loss for words when he was asked about the scenario.

"In a year of remote contingencies, that's about as remote as you could possibly imagine," he replied.

He also expressed confidence that a nominee will be decided soon after the last nomination contests on June 3. "There will be a nominee before the convention," he said.

I am going to wonder about Indiana because apparently 1.1 million people were purged from the voter rolls by a Republican Election Commissioner (another Katherine Harris type apparently) and when I was on my break I was listening to a little David Bender and he was mentioning that on Rush's show today that Rush was crowing about all his dittoheads reporting in and talking about how they crossed over, held their nose and voted for Hillary in the primary. And David commented about how come Hillary has not denounced this or said that she did not want votes in this manner. And David is a Hillary supporter.

I asked Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe just now whether Clinton had given or loaned her campaign more money in the run-up to North Carolina and Indiana.

"Might be. Might not be," McAuliffe said, adding that the campaign would release more fundraising details tomorrow.

In the past, Clinton aides have denied a second Clinton loan, but McAuliffe said tonight his policy is not to talk about fundraising details.

FAYE! where are you???

Raine,

Grrrl friend, I just got back from the powder room - boom boom.

What in the hell is Hillary hanging on for??? I'm sorry, I just don't get it? What in the hell is she trying to achieve here, but completely dismantle the party??? Anybody??? out there???

mfaye :D

WAtching this thing tonite. she REALLY needs to hang it up. SERIOUSLY. HE is within 2%... Unless she calls for a revote... which I STRONGLY suggest she not, not after that whole robo-call thing in NC...

Hey... Wasn't DAn supposed to come on at midnite???? with our MOMMA?

I am not seeing that happen right about now.

I'd need a nap.

Hillary can't lend herself any more money! She comes off as a ............loser! Then she has to continue to beg for money. She's out! Someone tell the delusional bitch.

They're vamping... they're hoping to have something big soon.

Tim looks exhausted, especially in the split screen with Keith

I don't think that Momma or Dan are gonna be on. :kickcan:

Comment by BobR on 05/07/2008 04:23:20
After seeing Todd explain how Hillary cannot win - PERIOD - even WITH FL and MI, I am losing interest in the last 8%. It is over. Obama doesn't need the one delegate left there in IN to win; it's irrelevent at this point.

I think I am heading to bed - I need to be up early to write the blog, and then another day shoveling the salt...

Comment by Raine on 05/07/2008 04:23:53
I am out as well.

Indiana is not EVER going to be a win for hillary.

Comment by Mondobubba on 05/07/2008 04:23:59
Rachel is looking tired. But sitting next to Pat Buchanan for what, almost eight hours has be exhausting.

Comment by jd_in_ny on 05/07/2008 04:25:55
do I see a 56-41% spread in NC? I believe, though math is hard, that that is 15 points. So much for managing expectations.

Comment by BobR on 05/07/2008 04:26:33
okay - Rachel saying Hillary lives in a "post-rational universe"!

Okay - I REALLY need some sleep...

Comment by Scoopster on 05/07/2008 04:29:37
Ok after an hour of flipping between the returns and F4/Silver Surfer I'm ready for the sack.

JD - I've been seeing that 56 number for at least two hours and it has to be an error, because in that time Clinton's number has been jumping between 44 and 41... and I doubt Mike Gravel got 3%.

Mondo, out. See you lovely people tomorrow. Or later today, whatever.

Comment by jd_in_ny on 05/07/2008 04:41:34
I just got an e-mail from Obama - "decisive victory" in NC, IN too close to call

and he asks for money

Damn the time it takes my laptop to get up to speed.

Everyone's going to bed. I am going to watch The Daily Show and keep MSNBC in picture-in-picture in case Momma does come on.

Comment by jd_in_ny on 05/07/2008 05:10:12
I'm out, too

See you in a few hours...

Comment by livingonli on 05/07/2008 05:13:23
Hillary now declared the winner in Indiana by only 22,000 votes (51-49).
