This is Barack Obama's decision, and if he bends to her will, I think the RW will use that as a point to make him look weak.

Barack needs to make this choice. HE needs to show to america what kind of leader he can be. HE needs to be able to show that it was HIS choice.

What I think is happeming today is the Obama campaign is saying NO to ANYONE who was in charge of running her campaign.

They are also trying to see what to do about Bill Clinton. They cannot have him running around calling reporters scumbags, you know.

They are also trying to figure out about what to do with certain things that have NOT been vetted from the Clinton campaign, like that little port deal...

Basically, Obama's team (imo) needs to have ALL access to the Clinton's records -- there is stuff still that has not become public.

The Clintons still have not told everyone about the library funders and foundation donors for the Clinton library. That means naming EVERYONE. PLUS, they need to know WHO ALL paid Bill Clinton to speak, etc.

I can live with HRC as VP, but I believe her biggest baggage right now is her husband. The Obama campaign needs to know EVERYTHING , NOW.

Not all grief manifests as anger....but, almost always when you get to the root of what is making someone angry, it's actually something that is making them sad.

Yes, it's an oversimplification because I can't talk to each and every Hillary supporter, but if I could I would most likely get from them that are sad about her not winning.

Gdmnitall... THIS is why I was SO f'ing agry when HRC said this.

Hours before the polls closed Tuesday in the final two Democratic presidential primaries, the Republican National Committee began circulating a video of Hillary Clinton questioning Barack Obama’s qualifications to be commander-in-chief, and acknowledging John McCain has this important presidential credential.

“Senator McCain will bring a lifetime of experience to the campaign, I will bring a lifetime of experience and Senator Obama will bring a speech that he gave in 2002,” Clinton says in the one-minute video of CNN’s coverage of a news conference she held on March 8 – the day Obama won the Wyoming caucuses. “I think that is a significant difference. I think that since we now know Senator McCain will be the nominee for the Republican Party, national security will be front and center in this election. We all know that.

"And I think it is imperative that each of us be able to demonstrate we can cross the commander-in-chief threshold. And I believe I have done that. Certainly, Senator McCain has done that. And you will have to ask Senator Obama with respect to his candidacy.”

The RNC posted the video on YouTube early Tuesday afternoon, just as Obama was on the verge of locking up the Democratic nomination and speculation heated up about Clinton being his running mate.

And we are discussing her being the VP?

Seriously. What kind of damage control can be done if she is the VP? I know what I said earlier, I do. I just don't know what the F we are going to do with the damage that was done becuase of this primary.

My friends... we have made History in America today. We have the First Black candidate of a major political party winning it's party's nomination for President of the United States of America.

Do you have goosebumps? I do. I never cared if it was a woman or a black man, I cared about the best person for the position. When My personal choice dropped out, I took some time to make a choice.

The thing we can take away is that no matter what, this is a wonderful thing as an added benefit. We ARE dems, and WE have a big tent!

The software is written so that you can only edit blog posts that you create yourself, unless you are an Admin (which you are not). Since Raine create the blog post, you cannot edit it.

I CAN change the "creator" field from her to you so that you can edit it, but the firewall at work prevents me from doing so, so that will need to wait until I get home from work (around 7:30).

Fox news has said Obama as 2128 Delegates, a full 10 delegate votes over the needed 2118.

Fox news apparently has Obama winning.

This caller on Farious is a total idiot. And is proof of why we needed this primary to end. The country NEEDS to know that Obama Has done very good work since he became a senator, did good work while in the state legislator and good work as a community activisit.

OK, so Mrs. C is asleep and I am watching the coverage on ABC. DAmn, that guy behind Hillary DID look like an old lesbian. And Grampy just looks sad in front of the greenscreen. I think he needs to have a Rancor digitally inserted behind him!

I didn't know McCain was a jedi name.

Guess the quote.

I wanna say "Clerks", but if not that then something else from the Kevin Smith Askewniverse.

Nope, Family Guy, it's okay though.

"BLue HArvest"? I HAVE to get the DVD of that ep.

Nah, "Peterotica" Carter gets a visit from lawyer sueing him, and Carter drops him through a trap door. The Lawyer then fights the Rancor in similiar fasion to Luke. When he crawls out Carter says, "Huh, Didn't know Greenburg was a jedi name."

Ah. Sorry about all that; I'm just now getting into "FG" and so I have years of episodes to wade through (thank Cthuhlu for Peachtree TV). I will find it, though. Oh yes, I will find it.

Comment by Raine on 06/04/2008 02:48:50

well, the reports from the field in St. Paul say 15 to 20 thousand in the XCel Center (where yours truly will see Coldplay on 7/8) AND another 15-20 K outside.

Yep. We love us some Obama here in MN.

I am on at 1030 tomorrow. I hope Jim does some imitations of Tom Brokaw, cause I could not watch him on the MSNBC without hearing Jim in my head...isn't that sad. Yeah, that Baruch College which hosted Hillary...not so big.The Xcel Center is totally cool.

no.

I have comfortable shoes that stink to high hell, I can't even throw them away they stink so bad. I don't even wear them in private anymore. They gross me out. I think I will toss them.

John McCain is a pair of those shoes. They are no longer reliable, strong, attractive, functional, long-lasting.

It is time to buy a new pair of shoes.

Very happy to hear about the repots from MN!!!!

Even more happy to say that WE HAVE A NOMINEE!

This is not about what HRC spins ANYMORE.

This is about the numbers, the math and the delegates. It has nothing to do with primary politics any longer.

The Democratic Party has a nominee!

Yes, mfaye, that is the late Mr. Zappa recorded at the Palladium in NYC on Halloween 1981. Zappa for many years did a Halloween show in New York City which always attracted a big crowd.
