The Silence Breakers.

A change has happened, and while I will never stop speaking out, I feel like we finally have the attention we deserve.

Here's to something we never wanted to be: Time Person of the Year.

Good mornin' all!

Here's some election results from last night:
GA Atlanta Mayor - Dem. Keisha Lance Bottoms wins over Dem.Indie Mary Norwood by 758 votes. Recount expected.
GA State Senate 6th - Dem. Jen Jordan defeated Dem. Jaha Howard 64-36. This seat was vacated by a Republican, and the flip helps GA Dems break a GOP veto-proof majority.

Christmas fail #1 so far. A successful listening season is measured by the number of times I hear Sir Paul's aural abortion of a Christmas tune.

Oh for fuck's sake... The House is about to vote on a bill to allow concealed carry firearm permits in one state to be wholly legal in every other state. And they're attaching it as a poison pill to a bill for regulating bump stocks & fixing the communication issues between law enforcement & the military re: background checks & mental health.

This is a blatant violation of the 10th Amendment, and frankly of the 2nd too (a well-regulated militia in any one state DOES NOT INCLUDE CITIZENS OF OTHER STATES)

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Few details are being released on a wide-ranging law enforcement operation involving multiple agencies in the D.C. region this morning.

According to Kadia Koroma, spokeswoman for the FBI Washington Field Office, the court authorized law enforcement activity is happening in the DC region, and involves multiple federal, state, and local agencies.

No further details are being released at this time, however an update is expected from the FBI later Wednesday afternoon.

Hmmmm....

Out in horse country, with the old money. I do remember somewhere hearing she had a Christmas store, thought it went out of business.

Why are all our people resigning but David Vitter stuck around?! AND they are on the verge of electing a child molester.

I f-ing hate the "high road"

I'm right there with you. But this has gone well beyond taking the high road now. He's been tattooed as a liability and a distraction, and is being used an excuse to prop up Roy Moore. From a purely political view, he has no other option but to take one for the team.

So now the question is who will replace him. Minnesota still has a Dem Governor, Mark Dayton, and the state's laws allow him to appoint a replacement until the next scheduled general election for that seat (2020).

I'd pick this guy - he's a 2-time US Attorney for Minnesota & former ATF director.

There's also Lori Swanson, the current State AG, who has not yet announced her plans for 2018.

There's probably several others who are qualified, but I think having someone with a breadth of experience with the law & passion for pursuing justice are exactly what we need right now.
