Good morning!
Author: Raine    Date: 07/09/2018 13:04:32

I woke up to the news that at least one more of the boys have been rescued from the cave in Thailand.

There are reports that 4 ambulances are at the scene as I type this, so we may see more rescued this morning.

So, we have that going for the world, this morning!

Happy Monday!

and

Raine

I AM surprised.

As recently as yesterday morning, I was certain those boys were all going to die.

At least their idiot coach probably should, but that's just me.

Their "idiot coach" taught them to be calm and meditate, which likely saved them. He is also the most likely to die because he gave the kids all of his food and water

Sorry - irresponsible leader. Ignored warning signs, led them further into danger instead of turning around. They wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. Mediating circumstances, maybe....but as the leader, you're responsible for the overall health and safety of the group from the moment you take the first step on the excursion. Massive fail here, IMHO.

Yep, its all a show and ratings to him. No matter what his "choice" is horrendous. I will be watching Dietland and probably live tweeting too,

Keep seeing all these UK Foreign ministers resigning and it being something to do with Brexi. Seems important but I'm unsure as to what it it, have not been really following it since we are deal with our own national hell.

Mornin' all!

Feels good to be back. I needed that week off.

And now I get to update every single password in the office.

Not too much, mostly relax & take care of business around the house. It was nice to be able to stay home & have much-needed new furniture delivered heh.

Also, I was home & doing laundry when the machine decided to stop working properly. Damn thing didn't drain BUT kept trying to spin, so I had to wring way-too-hot water out of a load of clothes. Got blisters all over my hands from it.

I read somewhere that there was Russian meddling with the whole Brexit process, and those promoting it.

I would not be surprised as Putin's regime has ties to many far-right parties in Europe.

Good morning, bloggers!! I hope that everyone is well.

Please keep my Mom in your thoughts and prayers. Yesterday, she fell and hit her left-hand and the left side of her head. She has some bruises and will be following up with a visit to the doctor. (My brother is going to take her to the doctor. I was out on a long walk when she called this morning.) She reported feeling slightly dizzy.

I have an interview tomorrow, but I am checking on jobs locally, around Boston and around Los Angeles. When Mom is better, I will take her to dinner. I will also treat her to dinner when I find a job. If it is in Boston or Los Angeles, I will fly her out.

This may be the most corrupt administration in the history of this country. If Trump is revealed as a Russian intelligence asset who relies on that nation's oligarchs for his finances, then this administration will indeed be unveiled as our most corrupt administration.

Right? Maybe as a nation we all need to sit down and watch the movie Grifters to realize something hinky is going on. Make it National Grifters Day, hashtag it out and everything.

This is all quite stunning, a report about why Marcy Wheeler (EmptyWheel) revealed her source to the FBI -- I read the piece last week and I myself was jawdropped.

WaPohas more on why it was such a big deal.

It's definitely the most corrupt. Makes Harding look like a saint.

So I am gonna say something that no one may like.

Considering we will get a conservative judge no matter what, I would NOT WANT Amy Coney Barrett at any cost.

We are gonna have to live with one of the federalist nominees. So of the list that seems to have been leaked, I hope it's Kavanaugh.

Despite their rhetoric, Collins and Murkowski are going to be very tough to peel off.

Barrett is the very worst of them.

The point is, if the Dems block a nominee, another is going to happen.

of all the extremists, he picked what I see as the least extreme.

Not saying it's good as none of them are good -- Kavanaugh is the best of the worst.
