By tomorrow night voting will end. Election day, once the day that we decided who would represent us in all levels of government, is now the end of our election season.

Tomorrow, I pray will be the beginning of the rejection of ‘Full Trumpism’
Unmoored from reality, Trump has at times become a false prophet, too. He has been promising a 10 percent tax cut for the middle class, though no such legislation exists. And he has sounded alarms over an imminent “invasion” of dangerous “illegal aliens,” referring to a caravan of Central American migrants that includes many women and children, is traveling by foot and is not expected to reach the U.S.-Mexico border for several weeks, if at all. (snip)

Trump is campaigning as if his presidency were on the line — and in a way, it is. Should Democrats win the House majority, as public polling suggests, they probably would use their subpoena power to launch investigations into the president and his behavior and, perhaps, begin impeachment proceedings.

“All his bad characteristics get amplified when he’s in a crunch,” Murphy said. “He doesn’t have any allegiance to the truth or reality to begin with, so he’s drunk on crowds, in a corner and under great political pressure.”

This fever dream of hatred that has overcome this country will not go quietly into the night after Tuesday, but voting matters in a way that perhaps is more important than ever before.

I am usually so excited to Vote. It's something I treasure and enjoy. Not this year, this year, while I'm looking forward to casting my vote, I am filled with apprehension. In November of 2016, this country ended up in the middle of a terrible crossroads. 2 years later, we're still there. Tomorrow night, we'll know which way we are going.

We will know what kind of nation we want to be. and that has me really nervous.

With that, I want to leave you with a song. I hope we can wake up Wednesday feeling like it will eventually be ok. Wear blue and never give up.

Hmmm.. couple of pretty large business closures today. Lowe's is closing 51 locations in the US & Canada, and yesterday Papa Gino's/D'Angelos (a pizza/grinder chain up here in New England) suddenly shut down over 50 locations without notice, filed for Chapter 11 and was sold to a new owner (local news is now saying they'll be closing 95 in total).

Tell me again how that economy is booming,

Greetings, comrades!

Back to my normal Mondays off for the winter. We've just had a very successful cooking / Thanksgiving trip with the Scout Troop....Young Javier was our pit boss this weekend and ran the entire show. All food cooked and edible!

And as I posted Friday - I go back to the shop tomorrow as the brand-new Head Conductor for OTT/Boston. I'll be in charge of all the other drivers. We've had a tough season, and there was a major managerial shakeup. I'm glad to be a part of the recovery team. We're tasked with using the offseason to "right the ship", as it were. I've got the tasks of improving morale, working on some team-building, and standardizing and developing an operations manual for the dispatchers.

Heady days, indeed.

You know we live in a strange world when Axl Rose, one of the biggest & most notorious jerks in 80s rock history, is being less of a jerk than some of the people responding to his political tweets.

John Fugelsang was talking about this today.

The scariest thing tonight might be the Trump rally tonight that will also include Hannity and Limbaugh. Redefining the term 3 hour hate.
