It's a Clothing Gap.

Clothes. To some they matter; to others - not so much. In this case, I think it really matters. Sarah Palin, on the RNC dime spent a lot of money on Clothes in September. About $150,000. It leaves questions tho.
The cash expenditures immediately raised questions among campaign finance experts about their legality under the Federal Election Commission's long-standing advisory opinions on using campaign cash to purchase items for personal use.

Politico asked the McCain campaign for comment on Monday, explicitly noting the $150,000 in expenses for department store shopping and makeup consultation that were incurred immediately after Palin’s announcement. Pre-September reports do not include similar costs.

Now, the RNC has said that the clothes will be donated to charity. Which is great, but by then they will be USED clothes. They won't be worth anywhere NEAR the cost of original purchase. Sarah has done this before... remember her charging the state of Alaska? That was close to $50,000. Once again the Palin family is living high off the hog (with lipstick as well!) on the taxpayers dime. Talk about welfare fraud.

I bring this all up because also this week we have been hearing the meme of not only 'Joe the Plumber', but also 'Ann the engineer', 'Ed the policeman', 'Sue the sectretary' -- Some guy named Tito... McCain/Palin have been touting how bad Obama will be for America, how Obama will tax us more how Obama doesn't understand -- the list goes on.

On the other side of things, we just had a 700 billion dollar bailout. While John MCCain talks of cutting the 'pork' in washington, or having a spending freeze in DC, his running mate went on a shopping spree that most of us will never see in our lifetime. 150,000 thousand dollars is 2-3 years salary for people like 'Ed the Policeman' or 'Frank the Fireman'. It is a truly disgusting image of the have and have nots.

John McCain wants you to believe that he can fix this economy. Well, I ask -- when he and the GOP are busy giving out $150,000 welfare checks to one woman, what are people to believe? The right went apoplectic when they learned about John Edwards' 400 dollar haircut. Where is the outrage now? How many mouths can 150,000 thousand dollars feed? How many children would that have clothed?

It's a wardrobe malfunction of the worst kind. I look at the RNC and feel like they have just flipped the bird to America and told us all to eat cake. That's right. It's the modern day version of "Let them Eat Cake". Well as I have been joking here this week, I won't eat cake. I like pie, and today I am going to vote for the Man who will allow me a slice of that pie. Barack Obama.

In the mean time, take a look at this video, and tell me, who is better at running the economy? Really, sometimes clothes DO tell a lot about a person, and I think this video says it all:

That's right, "Mommy buy's everything at the Gap" For those that can't watch videos... here is a simple picture:

It's time America got real about who can really turn this country around, and who REALLY understands what we are going thru. Sarah Palin does not care, and John McCain is too out of touch, the RNC is more concerned with the image it projects and NO ONE benefits from this particular bailout, except maybe Sarah (who will probably have to pay taxes on Gifts received from a political campaign -- but that is another story for another day, no doubt).

:peace: and
