(*Poor Children left behind)

So, As you may be aware, the president vetoed the SCHIP program. Here is a little bit of what he said regarding this:
"I believe in private medicine," Bush told an audience in Lancaster, Penn., on Wednesday morning. "I believe in helping poor people, which was the intent of SCHIP, now being expanded beyond its initial intent. I also believe that the federal government should make it easier for people to afford private insurance. I don't want the federal government making decisions for doctors and customers."
This man has lost touch with America and even worse, he lost touch with what it means to be compassionate. I have oft wondered about it, but yesterday... he threw American children under the bus. I have a niece and a nephew who will be impacted by this directly.

And please remember those words... he believes in "private medicine". Please remember that. That means that Bush believes in ALL health care being privatized... ALL. That includes Medicare, Medicaid, and all of the Veteran medical care.

He also believes in helping poor people... but only to a certain point I suppose... He decided to not help them today. That is for sure. In his veto, Bush decided who is poor enough to get health care... and now we learn that millions of children are just not poor enough to get SCHIP... one of the most successful government programs... No really, it was.

Interesting that the children should suffer the parents' mistake of not being poor enough these days. The children must suffer. Someone has to. And who more perfect than the children who cannot speak out for themselves? Bush recently asked for nearly 200 billion more to fund this war but he vetoed this bill becuase it was *too much money*. Think about it. The poor little kids in your hometown won't know the difference. Those kids won't be marching in protest. Nope, they can't... they have to go to school this morning. They have to train for thier standardized tests.

And their parents will do whatever they have to do to get by, to make sure they have the healthiest kids they can. That is what parents do. Bush decided they should work harder to do that today. Yes he did. He told people to get over it and work harder to insure your kids.

Bush vetoed this bill... Why? He needs all the money for war. (he needed to throw more money into the debt hole... sad, because this bill did not add to our national debt.)

Iraq is more important to Bush than American children. Iraq is more important to Bush that America. Do not let ANYONE tell you otherwise. He sold every child out today in favor for his war. According to Dubya, war is more important than poor children in America... you know why? Their parents didn't work hard enough... Got it? The should have pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and worked harder ...

This man would rather kill people than save children's lives. In killing people, he can continue to fund companies like Blackwater, KBR, and the like... his friends can make a lot of money off of 'no bid' contracts. Oh yes... the TRUE fleecing of America...

After all, making sure our children are healthy ... well that just isn't cost effective... remember... he likes *private medicine*, just like he likes a private army. Our children are just collateral damage. And well... so are the Iraqi's. It is all collateral damage.

See you inside. You don't have to be a child, you don't have to be poor, you just have to be...

:peace:
