Quote by velveeta jones: Well, now I've gotten a call for a house fire. Guess I'll take this one instead of calling my team (Red Cross). Off to do that...............
Quote by livingonli: Good morning all. Just a quick hit and run before I head to the Doctor's office. Blood Sugar numbers have been iffy, so the only question has been my weight.

Well, I put on another pound and a half and the blood sugar numbers could still be better. After the holidays, I really have to make some changes and hope they can stick.

Do you want a buddy? Cause I'm doing the losing weight thing too. It's hard to go it alone.

I definitely need motivation. Too bad I don't cook so I end up eating out alot. I also think I need to get a normal schedule so I have meals at regular hours which I don't get in my current situation. So, I have many obstacles to overcome.
Quote by wickedpam:Cooking helps, but I do a lot of those bag salads from costco for lunch. It's all portion control for me and trying to leave out candy - I have a weakness for sugar. Been doing the Weight Watchers and have lose 25lbs so far. Night schedules are hard but if you take a "lunch/dinner" then it can be managed. That plus walking or working out or just moving for at least 10-15 minutes a day. You can do I know you can! :hug:Quote by livingonli:I definitely need motivation. Did you know France of all places will have a smoking ban starting in '08?

Ah, I was just about to ask that. I'll be hanging around. We're watching a movie tonight, then we'll see what Dick Clark is up to.
Quote by velveeta jones: Back from the fire! Sadly, the home was a total loss. But we (Red Cross) are assisting the family. I will now need a shower so my wife will allow me into the same room (smell of smoke, not the good kind). I think we'll be staying home tonight, watching some movies. I have "Sunset Blvd" from Netflix and our cable company has graced us with a freebie "Movie on Demand" that I must use soon, or lose it. Tonight seems as good as any. Be safe if'n your going out..........
Quote by Raine: They don't have the Stooges Marathon anymore?!?!?!
Quote by livingonli:I think WSBK still does it. I just don't get the station anymore. Unless you live in the Boston area, have Dish Network, or live in Canada, there aren't many ways to get it anymore. But WPIX still does The Honeymooners marathon starting at Midnight.Quote by Raine: They don't have the Stooges Marathon anymore?!?!?!

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to tonight's MAIN EVENT!
In this corner, weighing in at around 40 pounds, it's the writhing, screaming, king of "I don't want to take a bath!"......HAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaa-VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
And in this corner, at a weight I'm not allowed to mention, is his Mama, Mrs. TrIIIIIIIIII-SEC!
All right fellas, let's have a nice, clean, match. Now go back to your corners and come out fighting!
