Things are happening out there. I'm terribly sad on one hand that so many had to leave their homes on Saturday, but so damn grateful they did.
Being in a sea of humanity crying, screaming, praying, laughing, whispering and demanding change is the stuff that can lift souls. One of the MSD students said of the rally on Saturday, 'this was a great way to start a marathon'.
I've been marching & protesting since I was 18. I'm 50 now. Saturday was the very first time I felt like I was supporting those who will carry the torch. They got this, we are going to have the change we need.

Former Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Rick Santorum told CNN Sunday that kids seeking stronger gun control laws should instead be "taking CPR classes" to deal with school shooters.
"How about kids instead of looking to someone else to solve their problem, do something about maybe taking CPR classes or trying to deal with situations that when there is a violent shooter that you can actually respond to that," Santorum said on "State of the Union."
The things I want to say about this will probably get me a knock on the door from the FBI or Secret Service...so I won't say them.

I didn't march Saturday as I went to a memorial service for a friend's brother.
However, I've been very encouraged by what I have seen. May this be the moment when change happens.

Doing okay. I vented a little at a friend of mine who used to work at Web. So, she understands their special bullshit. So that helped. Finally told my mom. My brother who is finally on Facebook called me after he saw my post about being laid off :D. My brother, people!
I'm taking a couple of days for self-care and to decompress.
