Thin Ice
Author: Raine    Date: 10/12/2020 13:11:14

All things considered it was a relatively quiet weekend in the occupant's chaotic world. Quiet in that only a couple hundred paid attendees came to his 'Evita' style event where he addressed people from the Truman Balcony...again.
Some guests for Saturday's White House event on the South Lawn, which will be President Donald Trump's first since testing positive for the coronavirus, had their travel and lodging paid for by controversial conservative activist Candace Owens' group BLEXIT, according to emails obtained by ABC News.

Supporters, who are also scheduled to attend a separate BLEXIT event earlier in the day, were invited to attend a "HUGE outdoor rally" by the group and asked to fill out a form that notified them that BLEXIT, a campaign urging Black Americans to leave the Democratic Party, will be covering travel costs.
Today, for a brief few hours, the White House will be unoccupied and there will be another death cult rally in Sanford, Florida.

He's truly dancing on thinner and thinner ice. He's said a lot of crazy things, but saying he is cured and probably immune simply does not align with the data and science. He's on steroids as well as the antibodies therapy and we can see the side effects.
What might it feel like for someone who already has anxiety to then go on the steroids?
It can really ramp up those symptoms. And then of course, people without anxiety can feel those symptoms newly. And you can be totally manic. You can feel hyperactive and you can feel a different drive to do things and you just cannot stop. It can really amp you up, which is part of the reason you feel so great, and people can feel really euphoric. The one time I was on steroids, I cleaned out every drawer in my house every night. I could not stop moving.

It really looks like there maybe a post steroidal crash on its way. He may be able to order his doctors to give him more, but that is only going to be more dangerous. This steroid is a beast.
Diagnostic symptoms. Corticosteroids’ psychiatric effects—cognitive, mood, anxiety, and psychotic symptoms—were first described as “steroid psychosis.” Psychosis can occur, but mood symptoms are more common:

Among 122 patients, 40% experienced depression, followed by mania (28%), psychosis (14%), delirium (10%), and mixed mood episodes (8%).

Among 130 patients, mania was most prevalent (35%), followed by depression (28%), mixed mood episodes (12%), delirium (13%), and psychosis (11%).

Corticosteroids caused 54% of organic mania cases on a hospital psychiatric consult service.4
In a prospective study of 50 patients treated with corticosteroids, 13 developed hypomania and 5 developed depression.

Steroid-induced symptoms emerge from 3 to 4 days to a median of 11 days after a patient starts corticosteroid therapy. After steroids are discontinued, depressive symptoms persist approximately 4 weeks, mania 3 weeks, and delirium a few days. Approximately one-half of patients with steroid psychosis improve in 4 days and one-half within 2 weeks..

The occupant that has covid? He a guinea pig.

Good morning. I guess he has to spread the disease among his base.

It's going to get really ugly when he crashes off of those steroids.

Hi all. Passing through.

I started my new schedule today. It's a split shift three days a week, but not too had to take. Not too early, not too late, and three hours in-between. I live close enough to the base that I can come home for lunch on those days.

The other two days driving are mere six-hour shifts.

MUCH easier than driving tourists around this fair city, I might add. (and pay about the same, but no tips - alas.)

I will also drag something out of my medical history - during my Chemo phase, I too was on a variety of steroids. The "crash" when I came off them was brutal. Not that there were any behavioral changes, mind you. It manifested itself physically by a sudden onset of exhaustion and near-collapse; I'd end up sleeping it off for hours after my treatments were done.

Also probably not a good thing for the sitting president to experience.

Lemonade and Fantasia also both take exception at being compared to the president, by the way.

(Disclaimer - not my two.)

I fear that Trump will crash and it will be ugly.
