Over the past decade, I have felt a strange disconnect about the events of September 11. I got home late that evening, and I watched more of the news on TV. I was trying to understand why and how people could be upset having not been there as I was. I would never -- and will never -- take anything away from how they feel; it was always just really hard for me to understand. I have no question in my mind that the families that lost loved ones probably think the same of me and my story of that day. I would have given anything to be able to have watched it all unfold at home.
I was trying to explain this to a friend a few weeks ago. She said, "Through the "miracle" of live tv, it wasn't some totally abstract event we could hear about in retrospect. We had a bird's eye view of all of the events as they were happening, and the horrible task of trying to sort out what it all meant for ourselves."
Charles Manson didn't directly kill any one when the Tate La Biancia murders happened but he was held accountable for what he instigated. #TrumpCoupAttempt instigators must be held to account. #TraitorTrump Guiliani, Trump Jr, Cruz, Hawley, and all #TraitorsSupportTraitorTrump pic.twitter.com/KW5aTwHGxf

Anyone supporting the coup attempt, please unfriend me.
I have seen candidates I supported lose I have never thought of trying to violently overthrow the government, attack people, and damage property. The U.S. Capitol has not been breached since the war of 1812 when British troops burned the Capitol and the White House.
I am a man of peace who considers that violence should be the last resort of desperate people. Yet I feel great anger at those who have fanned the flames of hatred and fanaticism. Even in calling for an end to this, the man whom these insurrectionists honor cannot even admit that he lost the election -- after over 60 court cases.
Those who violated the Capitol should face the full weight of the law. So, should those who encouraged this violence.
I will repeat something that I said on September 11, 2001: I am glad that my father did not live to see this. He would say what I am saying: these actions are treasonous.
So, if anyone supports these actions, please unfriend me. I don't know you nor do I want to know you. May Heaven help us all.

I hope you get everything you want out of a Trump Presidency. And if he destroys the United States in the process - GOOD!

Oh - and 24 days later, a package has finally reached Greater Boston.
Says right on it, "Expected Delivery Day: 12/17/20"
It also appears to have been damaged in transit.
The question remains - has a corresponding package reached Washington?
