Don't know why this absolutely ridiculous account has made me laugh so hard but I thought I'd share with everyone for a chuckle ahead of the weekend.

Good Morning.

New York branch of the blog - what the hell?

Massachusetts got that same storm. In fact, New Bedford got more rain than NYC. Sure, streets flooded, trains were stopped, trees fell, and we even had a tornado downcape.

But nobody died.

How could your fair city get this so wrong? I am utterly mystified. The BBC, in particular, has been reporting that the magnitude of the rain was 'completely unknown - nobody told us anything'. We had days of forecast predicting over 5 inches of rain and street flooding.

Not trying to have that Massachusetts Smugness today - people died. And yes, my neighborhood flooded (fortunately not near enough to me to be a concern.)

(About a quarter mile away)

Afternoon all...

I think we can all agree that this storm created a huge mess for us humans, no matter where you live. In fact, down in Portsmouth RI (between Newport and Fall River MA) there was an entire street that became flooded and turned into a sinkhole.

Busy day. Had to take the mower to the repair shop this morning, then Costco on the way back. Had a meeting, now getting ready to check in for our flight tomorrow, and then get my hair cut.

*phew*!

Some of those look link a sinking ship. Which I suppose NYC was.

We had a subway station look like that a few years ago (Aquarium, downtown Boston across the street from the harbor.) But that got fixed. Nothing happened this past storm.

I think this storm brought out all the issues with infrastructure and climate change.

Hello, bloggers!!!!

I hope that everyone is well. I am planning to hang out with friends here this weekend. I am trying to finish up the last school paperwork, but I need my California driver's license and the mail to arrive to prove that I am a resident of this state.
