NO MORE WIRETAPPING!!!!
Author: Raine    Date: 11/15/2007 13:27:00

OK, now that we got that primal scream out this Thursday morning...and before anything else... we need to get this important information out there...
Beaujolais Nouveau is here!

From CNN, We learn that Mukasey, (TczarV.2™ ), wants more legal illegal wiretapping!
In his second day on the job, Attorney General Michael Mukasey leaped into the political fray, telling a key Democratic senator he opposes his electronic surveillance plan and would recommend the president veto it if it is passed.
[...]

Leahy last week introduced his substitute to a FISA modernization bill already approved by the Senate Intelligence Committee. That effort, led by Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., won wide bipartisan support and is backed by the administration. It includes retroactive immunity to legally protect the telecommunications companies which cooperated with the administration's classified warrantless surveillance program.

Now I know we have gone over this before, but I am still waiting for a logical answer from someone in this administration, how can you grant immunity to an illegal action when said action is supposed to be legal? The Answer? You can't.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
That is the fourth Ammendement. it doesn't say that telecommunications companies can spy on you. It doesn't say that they can infringe upon your fourth ammendment right. We must start remebering that WE are the people. Our governement exists because of America, not the other way around.

I stumbled across this this morning, and I think it is a perfect reminder for all of us... Pass it on to your kids, nieces, nephews... and the grownups out there who seem to be forgetting this stuff!

NO MORE KINGS

This is SO much better than the Fema Rap

:coffee: is on, the fireplace is crackling in the lounge area with a nice brunch buffet... we have a fine selections of teas and juices... so we will see you inside FourFreedoms blog... where we are wiretap and lead free!

:peace: and
Raine

producerchris, what's the deal with Sirius dropping the show? They replaced the show last night with some new in-house program which is, well, boring.

Antibotics is the last thing I want, especially if it's something that will go away on it's own. I don't even use antibacterial soap because it helps create all those weird super bugs. Oh well - guess I'll just have to wait to see what the Doc says.

I just do not want someone in the kitchen asking me a million questions about every ingredient. Bottom line, if I promise something is vegan, trust me... it is vegan.

Ugh...that is the worst. I don't even like picky eaters, let alone that extreme.

Since I've stopped eating meat, I bring backup dinners in case there is nothing I can eat. I would never expect someone to cook something special for me.

WE all just need to figure it out... becuase if we make it a week AFTER the cherry blossom festivus, then we can get the familia TriSec there too! Quote by Raine: I found it!!!! it is a MIRACLE!!!! Bush's Secret Life in 1984....
This situation took place in 1984 in the State of Tennessee. It concerns a 41 year old woman [currently residing in Las Vegas], Victor Ashe and George Bush's encounter in 1984 during the senate debates between Al Gore, Jr., Victor Ashe and Ed McAteer. She was invited to come to Tennessee by Victor Ashe. While attending one of these debates she spoke briefly with Ed McAteer (Senatorial candidate in 1984 who debated alongside Al Gore, Jr. and Victor Ashe, and was responsible in part for the emergence of the Religious Right). Members of the mainstream media (CNN, FOX/news, Chicago Tribune) have known about this Las Vegas woman [well known in the BDSM underground] since September of 2003 yet they have done little if anything to get to the bottom of it. Like Bush's national guard service records they've given him a free pass concerning the what, where and when of his participation in the Texas Air National Guard

For those that heard the AP news.. yes, we got rain last night.. one inch. it was a wonderful sound... but well you know the drill.. that one inch was just a tiny drop in the barrel. we are more than 18 inches below normal for this year... and that number does not include how below normal we were before the year began. :grumble: and still I see new buildings going up all over this city. you cannot have growth in a city without a plan to support all the people who live in a city. I may be someone who moved into the Atl, recently, but I did so knowing that I would not be one who required a new home to be built ot accomodate me.

Even Vegas is better prepared for these things, but then again, they know they don't get much rain so they have to think about it. If global warming shifts Atlanta's climate in that direction, they may have to figure out the priorities.

PBS used to host the debates and they were moderated by the League of women's voters. Not corporate influence. NOW we have people buying ad time for these debates, and I can't help but think if the people who are moderating the debates, if they are empoyed by the *mediaoutlet* and the media outlet has to turn a profit, then will the questions be skewed by the people who are sponsoring the dabate... people like *Clean Coal* who are clearly not in the inteerests of the democratic platform?

Blood atonement

Former FLDS Church member Robert Richter reported to the Phoenix New Times that Warren Jeffs has repeatedly alluded to the nineteenth century Mormon teaching of "blood atonement" in church sermons. Under the doctrine of blood atonement, certain serious sins can only be atoned for by the sinner's death. Richter also claims that he was asked to design a thermostat for a high-temperature furnace that would be capable of destroying DNA evidence if such "atonements" were to take place.

Strangely enough, Time Warner of NYC was the only cable system to launch Fox Business on analog. pretty much all their other cable launches have been on the digital tier.

I am NOT NOT NOT liking what Hillary is saying... she is pandering to the Anti tax Right.... AND she should NOT be envoking the name of Tip o'neil. :grumble:

The only healthcare plan that will work now is single payer. Dennis fullly supports it while Edwards plan someone goes in that direction.

Comment by velveeta jones on 11/16/2007 02:53:45
If only they'd let Dennis talk.......what a bunch of crap. And I just want to smack Obama and Clinton. F'em both!!

Comment by livingonli on 11/16/2007 02:55:11
Why do the Republicans hate Hillary so much when her policies are so close to theirs.

Lordy, if JC Watts thinks Hillary did well........just proves my point. The neo-cons want her in power.

BTW: why does this jc watts guy get called to be a pundit. What a loser.

Comment by starling310 on 11/16/2007 03:16:13

Just sayin'

Comment by livingonli on 11/16/2007 03:29:37
Could CNN have a liberal analyze the debate instead of these right-wing tools?

I went back to re-watching Sunday's Family Guy.

Anyone still around? Mike's wife is scared of Ghouilani being president too.

Comment by starling310 on 11/16/2007 03:46:07
I was absolutely floored by a few of the candidates saying that security was more important than Human Rights.

It's scary if the "opposition" party starts acting like the fascists.

Comment by Raine on 11/16/2007 05:04:58
OK... I think it is safe to say this... Obama and hillary and a few others have made one thing VERY clear... they thin security is more important than human rights....:bad:

Ben Franklin said those that would give up liberty for security deserve neither.... I am very dismayed by the answers given.

I think in this farcical debate.... and truly it was....we had a chance to see the true clothes of these candidates. I am impresses with Joe Biden's foriegn policy experience... I think I would very much like to see him as the head of the State department. Dennis came out swinging big time, and I truly think he will be seeing a bump in his polling.... Edwards did a great job... really great. I think (and I know thatI am biased) is that John gets the trophy for giving all the right answers. Mr. Richardson... sheesh.. he did wonderful as well... I think that Mr. Richardson might make a wonderful director of Homeland security. The man knows how to deal with undocumneted immigrants.

Hillary ... jeepers. She really did not come off well tonite... not for me, as a proud liberal.

Dodd did not do to bad, although his human rights/Nat Security querstion truly dismayed me.

Tonight's Worst Person List;

3. Westaff- Australian company that doesn't allow Santas to say "Ho Ho Ho" (Hey, that was on the MB).

2. Michael O'Geary San Diego city attorney for going after the PBS station after they canceled a show he appeared on 15 times.

1. Rush Limbaugh- For alleging that Hillary was threatening to kill Wolf Blitzer.

I may not be a fan of Hillary but I don't take credibility in shit made up by Drudge.
