Sometimes we make things more complicated than we have to. Usually it's because the issues are quite large. I had a great conversation with a loved one over the weekend. We don't always see eye to eye on issues, but she's not a fascist, so there is that. I'm kidding. She's a true and honest independent. We actually have far more in common than not. I hung up with her and thought about why some people, when talking about complicated and uncomfortable things use the
exception to the rule, to debate an issue where we may not completely agree. It's as if one is inadvertently excusing the discomfort of the subject. This is where things always get complicated in socio-political issues.
I don't have those discussions with those that are lost to a far out-there ideology, to be upfront. There are very distinct differences between the Democratic Party and The Republican party in the year 2022. Maybe it's time to clarify them in very simple terms. Actually, it's two words: 'For' and 'Against'. Let's start.

AGAINSTUniversal Health Care Democrats:

FORThere are a lot more subjects that can be added to this basic list, like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, equality, and equity, but the basics are there. I think a lot of time we complicate an issue and demonize people as a result. Reach the ones you can, those are the votes we NEED in November.
Democracy is on the ballot.
