Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to permit voting in person or by mail for a period of six business days prior to and including the Wednesday before the Election Day in all general elections?
State governmental entities estimated startup costs of about $2 million and costs to reimburse local election authorities of at least $100,000 per election. Local election authorities estimated higher reimbursable costs per election. Those costs will depend on the compensation, staffing, and, planning decisions of election authorities with the total costs being unknown.

hon, like Vel I'm so tired of starting over. They have a highly viewed propoganda status, they are aggressive in messaging, they have billions of dollars. We have whiney uber progressives who pitch a fucking tantrum when they don't get their way and don't vote. We have few aggressive Dems in office that make news for good reasons. We apparently suck at messaging. And we have to use our money to actually live day to day not pay for political ads.
6 years ago I thought maybe things were turning around but they've got people believing so hard that helping rich people is more important they helping themselves I'm spiraling into a very dark place.

No matter, Harry Reid has GOT TO GO. I'm sorry, he's been nothing but cowardly since he's been in the top spot. Harry should have told the likes of McConnell and Cruz to pound sand and at least make it a little more difficult for them to obstruct. Because no matter if he did or not, see sentence one. These TeaTards aren't going to put up with any obstruction from our side.
And we HAVE to find someone better than Hillary. NO CORPORATISTS, right or left. If they're going to whine LIBERAL then give them a real liberal to whine about.
Waiting for the first Fox News explosion following the first veto or signing statement......

Dems suck for not sticking with Obama - who DID major accomplishments despite obstruction - and for that, they deserved to lose. Too much whining, not enough fighting. I agree, Harry Reid should have gone awhile ago. We need someone with a fucking backbone!

Trojan, do you remember what happened when the Democratic party nominated a real liberal? I'll give you a hint, Reagan won 49 states.

It's ALWAYS about starting over. There is no such thing as a permanent majority. This cycle it was mostly red states having Senate races, so the results were somewhat expected. In 2016, there will be a president on the ballot and a lot of blue state senate seats up, and of course - 2 years of Republican congressional rule for the Republicans to run on (or - more accurately - from)

Say I have a question about the MJ referendum down there in DC. Did they just legalize recreational use, or did they also legalize sale for recreational use?

no, logically I know this.
It should not be this hard to get actual good people (from either side) elected. Warner's fight should not have been that difficult, yeah he's a blue dog and I don't like some of what he's doing but I think he's a good person. Gillespie is not, he's no morals or ethics. He should not have come that close. And Comstock is a nightmare!
I still don't know who got elected to my city council, there are have been no results posted anywhere that I can find.

Oh yeah, my old keyboard at home is dying. After about 8 years of heavy use, much of that for gaming, several of the keys have stopped working properly. I should also probably replace the mouse, because it's much older, but at least it still functions well.
Anyways, I'm looking into a mechanical gaming keyboard. Yeah, like the old IBM clickity-clack ones. Not sure if any of you guys have experience with these or not, but I'm looking for recommendations. Already know it's gonna cost a decent amount, but I'm trying not to go overboard.

There is a company that makes USB compliant IBM style keyboards. They use the actual IBM specs! They aren't cheap, but totally worth it. Those IBM keyboards are like old Western Electric phones, built to last.

Oh yeah there's actually quite a few manufacturers like that (both small companies and larger general enthusiast/gaming parts companies). Mechanical keyboards have really come back in a big way in the gaming world both because they're physically more durable and because the keypress function is that vital (at least it is if you're hardcore or competitive).

Random thought- where did everyone vote yesterday? I mean what kind of building? I vote at Government Center, essentially an annex of city hall.
I ask because I justheard on one of my podcasts that a minister acquaintence of mine voted in a church in PA...and to reach the polls they were routed through the main entry hall (full of Christian literature), by a signboard full of Bible verses, and past the Sanctuary to reach the voting booths.
This strikes me as wrong.
