Two American soldiers have been killed in an Isis raid in north-central Iraq.
The troops died in a joint operation with Iraqi Security Forces on Sunday night, military officials confirmed.
Their names are being withheld until their families are notified.
The troops were part of a mission to eliminate an Isis stronghold in the region, according to the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve, the US-led effort under the US Department of Defense organised against Isis in Iraq and Syria in 2014.
No further details were immediately available.
Late Monday, Christ Church said its organist, Tom Smith, 39, had also been infected. Bowser announced that case and two others: a 77-year-old man who had attended the Biogen conference in Boston, which has been connected to several other cases; and a 79-year-old man about whom no other information was released.
Maryland officials said a Prince George’s County woman in her 50s had contracted the virus during out-of-state travel. “She has had no contact with schoolchildren and is self-quarantined at home and in good condition, County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks said.
