Good Morning.

You may have heard yesterday that two US servicemen have been killed in Afghanistan. Despite all the flowery promises, war does go on.

But I am more perturbed by the reporting. I intended to write about it today, but neither of my prime military news sources, Military.com, or militarytimes.com, has made mention of it. (Of course, websites are always in motion - the stories could be there by the time you click those links.)

Indeed, I had to go overseas to find anything - this from UK's "The Independent", and even they had minimal information about it.

Two American soldiers have been killed in an Isis raid in north-central Iraq.

The troops died in a joint operation with Iraqi Security Forces on Sunday night, military officials confirmed.

Their names are being withheld until their families are notified.

The troops were part of a mission to eliminate an Isis stronghold in the region, according to the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve, the US-led effort under the US Department of Defense organised against Isis in Iraq and Syria in 2014.

No further details were immediately available.

No matter what our "National Priorities" are in the Trump era, it's clear that Veterans are furthest from the top of that list.

Good Morning.

About the blog that TriSec wrote Saturday. I found this in the local section of WaPo.
Late Monday, Christ Church said its organist, Tom Smith, 39, had also been infected. Bowser announced that case and two others: a 77-year-old man who had attended the Biogen conference in Boston, which has been connected to several other cases; and a 79-year-old man about whom no other information was released.

Maryland officials said a Prince George’s County woman in her 50s had contracted the virus during out-of-state travel. “She has had no contact with schoolchildren and is self-quarantined at home and in good condition, County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks said.

Well, it's official! We're in a State of Emergency! (Commonwealth of Emergency???)

Of course, your mileage may vary, but our governor is at least competent in this regard. He's not a doctor, but did save the largest Insurer in this Commonwealth from bankruptcy and disaster two decades ago - going on to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Romney administration, and even wrote a little something called "Romneycare", which I bet most of you are familiar with.

Unlike, say the rest of the United States, I bet we handle this one fairly well.

um... okay, TriSec - Massachusetts is the only state (er.... "commonwealth") in the union that has a handle on this. Sure... whatever makes you feel better.

That's a little tribal, Tri.
