A good Day
Author: BobR    Date: 11/05/2025 14:08:16

Yesterday was something of a rarety recently - a good day for America. The off-year elections happened, and - wow - the electorate sent a clear message to the Whiner-in-Chief and his minions that we are not happy with how things are going.

The election results are in, and it's all good news for the Dems:
[Democrats] had victories in contests across states, building momentum into the 2026 midterms. Zohran Mamdani will win New York City’s mayoral race, CNN projects, while Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill will win their respective gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey. Californians also voted to approve Democrats’ redistricting push.

VA got it's first-ever female governor. CA voters said "fuck this", and willingly served up their state (the 4th largest economy in the world) as Ground Zero in the fight against a permanent Republican majority in the U.S Congress.

Ther most visible of all the races was for NYC Mayor. Even a subset of Democrats (the pearl-clutchers) were anxious about a Mooslem Democratic-socialist winning - which he did by a healthy margin. Voters ignored the warnings from the White House that they would lost federal funds if Mamdani won. Cuomo had apparently willingly accepted Mango Mussolini's endorsement, which made the choice even clearer.

Pedo McYamtits also threatened CA if the redistricting measure passed, which it did as voters on both coasts raised a large collective middle finger to the blathering idiot's empty threats.

There was other stupid posturing elsewhere in the country. Texas guv Abbott - after hearing about the supposed 10% of NYC-ers who said they'd leave if Mamdani won - declared he'd impose a 100% tariff on any of them who moved to TX. I mean - how does that even work? How do you place a "tariff" on a person?

There were other statewide races elsewhere in the country, but I don't have links to their results, so feel free to add any to the comments.

Well-done Voters!

Day 289... 1170 to go.

I didn't even get to Dick Cheney shuffling off that mortal coil yesterday, the election results were so uplifting.

Good, the GOP should NEVER have a supermajority, especially in Mississippi.

Mike Johnson: "What happened last night is blue states and blue cities voted blue. We all saw that coming. And no one should read too much into last night's election results."

Not much shaking in blue Massachusetts. Remember though, weak Donnie is afraid of Mayor Wu. Do read her victory speech from last night.

And I'm sure you're waiting for an aviation opinion. There are too many similarities with Flight 191 to ignore at this time.
