Freedom From Fear

This blog has existed for 9 years. In those 9 years we have seen 2 Presidents and soon -- a third. We are now in very interesting times.
This is our Mission Statement:
Our rules still apply, but I felt a need to revisit what our core mission is. Even though we have long lost our message forum, those rules apply as well.
As long as BobR, TriSec and Raine (myself) administrate this blog, this will remain a safe place. I say this with seriousness and with a welcome hand to anyone who seeks a place for discussion about our current political, social and global issues in regard to the incoming administration. We may not be the biggest place on the internet but we will strive to make sure we are safe. I wish I didn't feel a need to point this out, but here we are, and we all know who and what the President Elect is.
Four Freedoms Blog has always sought to be a safe place. It will remain so.

In the future days, which we seek to make secure, we look forward to a political discussion blog founded upon four essential member freedoms:• The first is freedom of speech and expression--everywhere on this blog.
• The second is freedom of every person to discuss politics in his or her own way, without ridicule or disparaging comments, everywhere on this blog.
• The third is freedom from want--which, translated into internet terms, means respect and tolerance, which will secure to every forum a healthy place for discussion for our members - everywhere on this blog.
• The fourth is freedom from fear--which, translated into internet terms, means a forum-wide reduction of trolling, ad hominem attacks, and personal insults to such a point and in such a thorough fashion that no member will be in a position to commit an act of internet aggression against any member--anywhere on this blog.
