Onward Christian Poll & Pundit!

In this topsy turvy time of societies downfall, where gays have the audacity to walk the streets hand in hand and own their own business, and women not only wear mens clothing but at times the shortest of shorts so their knees are showing (!) it's great that we have people who are still brave enough to come out and tell us how we are supposed to be living. With the death of Jerry Falwell our moral compass' seem to spin in a circle never knowing where to stop!

Should I love my neighbors whore wife, only hating her sin? Or, should I stone her as required by the Bible?

Recently ads on my computer have been popping up telling me that a new show is coming out on the TV about a man who works as a "gigolo". The show, called "Hung" will surely be a hit, though Velveeta will never watch it, and not just because she can't afford HBO, but because its premise about a man with a rather large thingy will only perpetuate the stereotype that a man can only be manly with a large who-haa. I have scoured my Bible to find reference to this, but could find none, so it must be false!

Blessed are the real men who do things like run for Governor of their state so they can tell us how to live and what money we should or should not take, then have a long distance affair and remind us that King David did not resign after his sex scandal.

Though honestly, the King David scandal card was the wrong one to play. In my opinion he should have reminded us that King David, along with every other man in the Bible, had multiple wives and concubines. He was just emulating King David. He also could have used the "STFU woman" excuse: Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. (I Timothy 2:11)

Then there is the story of Mr. The Plumber (Joe, as he likes to be called) who recently wondered aloud in front of an audience (as is his habit) why Sen. Chris Dodd had not yet been "strung up". I was in too much shock to read on as to why we should be lynching a Senior Senator of our great nation, but I should remind Mr. Plumber that lynching has a deplorable history in the south and as such should not be used ever again. The correct penalty would have been STONING. Please keep in mind for your next speech you should refer to 1 Kings 21:13 (NIV)
Then two scoundrels came and sat opposite him and brought charges against Naboth before the people, saying, “Naboth has cursed both God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death.

Mr. Ann Coulter could well have used this in her rationalization of why it was proper to murder Dr. Tiller. Again though, I must caution, stoning, not shooting is the way to go. Otherwise our society could fall into complete moral turpitude.
