Try not to Fry-Day

At work we have a program that we do yearly called 99 Days of Summer where they continuously stress the importance of being safe while working in the summer heat. Every crew loads up on water, ice, cooling bands, and more before they head out to their jobsite in the morning. One of the things they want everyone to know is how to know the signs or heat stroke and heat exhaustion.

With temps on the rise all over and heading into the hottest summer days I thought it would be good to share that information here as well.

A curious memory popped up on facebook for me the other day. June 27, 2017. It was the occasion of my mother’s memorial dinner, some six months after she had passed. As you may recall, my aunt – my mother’s only sibling – left for Florida on the morning of Mum’s passing. She had finally come back to sell the house and move away for good, but we all took the time to gather and remember.

A Small Ask

We have plans to go on a boat trip on the Chesapeake Bay today. This morning I got some terrible news about a dear friend's family in NY, so I have been very distracted since I woke up.

TFG is still indicted and more will be handed down in the coming days, I suspect. I'm gonna carry that with me today.

Also, whether you pray or not my friend and her family could use the energy of the good sort today.
