"This feels like the slow circling around the top of the bowl before the tempest drags him under. The ice has been broken, and it's time for the GA DOJ to add their fuel to the fire."

Low, Slow, and Circling the Bowl
Author: BobR    Date: 04/05/2023 12:58:36

Yesterday was a day that will live in infamy, as well as the hearts of good percentage of American citizens: it was the first time in our nation's history that a sitting or previous president has been arrested. Not just arrested, but charged with 34 (count 'em) felonies. While it answers the question "when will he face consequences for all of his illegal activity?", it is still a national embarrassment.

Was TFG embarrassed? It's hard to tell. Based on the still taken off of video as he's being escorted through the process, he's pissed and concerned. Good. The charges against him are serious (Note: aforementioned photo can be found at this link). Does that mean he's going to sequester himself until this is over in order to avoid adding any more indiscretions to the list? Ha-ha - we're talking about TFG, and we all knew he's going to open his fat mouth and bray on and on about this:

Good Morning.

While New York City may be at war later today, the war with ourselves continues unabated. According to some Sharia/Fascists that hold elected office in these United States...we're losing.

Indicated Prologue
Author: Raine    Date: 04/03/2023 12:53:47

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day. And truthfully, I am of two thoughts. One is worry and concern about what will happen in NYC after the indictment of TFG is unsealed. The other thought is that his cult is probably convinced that NYC is a crime-ridden hellhole. Thus, they are probably too scared and too broke to show up in lower Manhattan.

Rinse and Repeat

NASHVILLE, TN—In the hours following a violent rampage in Tennessee in which a lone attacker killed at least six individuals and injured several others, citizens living in the only country where this kind of mass killing routinely occurs reportedly concluded Tuesday that there was no way to prevent the massacre from taking place. “This was a terrible tragedy, but sometimes these things just happen and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop them,” said Tennessee resident Laura Campbell, echoing sentiments expressed by tens of millions of individuals who reside in a nation where over half of the world’s deadliest mass shootings have occurred in the past 50 years and whose citizens are 20 times more likely to die of gun violence than those of other developed nations. “It’s a shame, but what can we do? There really wasn’t anything that was going to keep this individual from snapping and killing a lot of people if that’s what they really wanted.” At press time, residents of the only economically advanced nation in the world where roughly two mass shootings have occurred every month for the past eight years were referring to themselves and their situation as “helpless.”

Happiness is a Warm Gun
Author: BobR    Date: 03/29/2023 13:49:20

The big story is almost no longer a big story. On Monday, a school shooter killed 3 kids and 3 school administrators in a Nashville suburban Christian school. The usual "thoughts & prayers" were trotted out by those who were more concerned about the negative press on guns than they were about the kids being shot. We are about to move on from it to some other story of the day, likely involving the Grand Jury and TFG.

The NRA-supporters love to claim that the problem isn't guns, but mental health. Let's take a look at that:

A Whiter Shade of Fail
Author: Raine    Date: 03/27/2023 12:56:02

In November 2021, US Marshalls paid a visit to DC's Detention Center. What they found was the need to transfer about 400 prisoners to another federal detention center due to poor conditions in what is called the Central Detention Facility (CDF). The Correctional Treatment Facility (CTF) met federal standards and those detainees were not relocated.
