"As I have walked among the desperate, rejected and angry young men I have told them that Molotov cocktails and rifles would not solve their problems. I have tried to offer them my deepest compassion while maintaining my conviction that social change comes most meaningfully through nonviolent action.
But they asked, and rightly so, what about Vietnam? They asked if our own nation wasn't using massive doses of violence to solve its problems, to bring about the changes it wanted. Their questions hit home, and I knew that I could never again raise my voice against the violence of the oppressed in the ghettos without having first spoken clearly to the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today, my own government. For the sake of those boys, for the sake of this government, for the sake of the hundreds of thousands trembling under our violence, I cannot be silent."
Well, I don't know what will happen now.
We've got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn't matter with me now.
Because I've been to the mountaintop. And I don't mind.
Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place.
But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will.
And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over.
And I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you.
But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land.
And I'm happy, tonight. I'm not worried about anything.
I'm not fearing any man.
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.

Wanna hear something funny? After that particular movie came out, a friend and I were talking and she started giving me the plot from start to finish. I hadn't seen it yet and started telling her "You realize I haven't' seen this movie? And she would acknowledge "Yeah, and then __________ happened." And she finished giving me the full story all through to the surprise ending.
Basically, she wasn't connecting that I wanted her to stop telling me the complete plot. I wasn't sure if I wanted to see it because I'm no Bruce Willis fan and Haley Joel creeps me out. But still.......

BTW: RE: Bruce Willis movie, I knew he was dead about 1/4 through the movie. One clue, he never changed his clothes!

Comment by TriSec on 1/20/2008 11:21:41 PMHeya Mondo... I got that voice mail.
Nope, nothing weird or unusual at all...I bought mine new, so it's only been routine maintenence.
The local guys like Valvoline Instant Oil Change and Sullivan Tire also work on them, so no difficulties this way. I've only had to do oil changes...nothing's broke otherwise.
I'd give you two caveats....you didn't say where your friend was that was interested in buying one, and both would be relevant to Florida.
The air conditioning is weak. Mrs. TriSec's 14-year-old Escort still pumps out more cold air on a hot day.
Subees are rare in the south...we had tire trouble on the way to Disney, and wound up paying through the nose at the ol' Disney Care Care Center because "it's an unusual size tire" and were hard to come by down there, or so the man said.
But otherwise...solid ride, great transmission (5-speed, anyway) and not too thirsty.
Quote by TriSec: *grunt*
Back to the mines tomorrow. There's a big meeting about AthenaMaine, but I have a schedule conflict...I think I'm going to miss it.
Still trying to get Mrs. TriSec to give me a green light. We're up to yellow, though.
Quote by Mondobubba:
So when is there going to be Athena Florida???
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A company that focuses on supplying doctors with medical products and inventory management systems is looking to help them pay their bills, too.
PSS World Medical of Jacksonville, Fla. announced on July 2 that it has made a $22.5 million equity investment, approximately 5 percent of current outstanding shares, in athenahealth, Inc., a Watertown, Mass.-based provider of revenue cycle management, practice management and EMR solutions.
In addition, PSS’ Physician Sales & Service branch will be marketing athenahealth’s Web-based solutions to the physician market.
According to David Smith, PSS World Medical’s CEO, small-practice physicians who aren’t affiliated with hospitals – he estimates there are between 200,000 and 300,000 in the country – have seen their incomes drop 10 percent over the past five or six years due to insurance reimbursement problems and rising administrative costs associated with billing. And studies have indicated that 35 percent of medical charges submitted by doctors to insurance companies for reimbursement are denied.
‘That’s the work you do for free,” he says. And for small-practice physicians who are “outgunned and outmanned and out-dollared by the insurance companies, that’s too much.”
