Checking back in. Short and sharp today.

When the organizers circulated through the crowd and advised us that the permit time had expired, we strolled away of our own volition.

We ringed City Hall plaza in Waltham, as well as across the street along the same block. Two estimates I heard placed the crowd between 2,000 to 2,500.

Your mileage may vary.

Washington, DC branch - is there a severe thunderstorm warning in your neck of the woods today?

Very nice. I particularly liked the last photo.

I could not go anywhere yesterday. I am recovering from hernia surgery and my car accident. My car is totaled.

However, a friend went to a protest in Studio City, California (part of Los Angeles and home neighborhood of Stephanie Miller (yes, I read that in the announcer's voice.) My friend said that there were easily 3,000 or 4,000 people there.

I opined elsewhere that the last time the Shriner's Parade came to Waltham, we had more people lining Main Street.

I marched in that one with the Scout Troop, so...

(Not the same parade - but who is having more fun?)

Seeing the videos from all over the country (all over the world, really) compared with the sad videos coming from the parade have a gone a long way towards improving my morale and hope for our future.

Aviation Geek in me must ask - did you see anything interesting in the sky yesterday?

I heard there were some WWII a/c out and about.
