Getting ready to book my stay at the Hampton Inn - College Park....that is...if JaykenCat will let me get to the keyboard,
While his bloodwork seems to have regressed a bit, he still presents himself to the kitty oncologist as a healthy, alert and affectionate kitty. She upped his steroid dosage and she expects to see him in October when she comes back from maternity leave. Since he's resisting me more and more with the syringe in his mouth I was given an option for an injectable steroid. I may take them up on that. Anyway, no problem with him skipping meds for a day while I'm away.

Well, I have been out of work for a month now. (Intentional - I am laid off for the summer.)
I'm off to Camp this afternoon to run the kitchen for a training course - and then again next weekend for the week for yet another training course.
Unemployment has been a pit; four weeks of pending benefits with no payment yet. I did just apply for local "RAFT" benefits to pay rent until such time UA deems fit to pay me.
And as TR can likely attest, by all things holy, if I never hear the name Karen Read again as long as I shall live, it will be too soon.
Honestly - I put on the BBC News this morning so I could see something else. (Yes, it's on the national news too.)

I do not watch any news on the TV and I don't go to any network sites just to browse.
I check my favorite news aggregator, and I'll check the comments THEN visit the news article if it interests me. I've stayed away from everything related to that debacle.
Took the new Prius out for a drive yesterday thinking I could stretch its legs out a little as I haven't taken it on the interstate yet.....WRONG.....traffic was horrible everywhere.
Should be a 'fun' drive. Again, I expect to pay far more in tolls than I will in gas.

In any case - I've long thought that going on a cruise up to the Maritimes would be a thing to do. Norwegian Breakaway is sailing out of BOSTON on July 12, 2026 - so we'd be aboard for the actual date. (Bastille Day)
