I've noticed that we have a lot of Billionaires. Take a look:

Statistic: Number of billionaires in the United States from 1990 to 2023 | Statista

I pointed this out because I am among the many people who live in a reality-based world that says, 'There was a time when this would have ruined a person, especially politically. I remember when Gary Hart dropped out of the 1988 presidential race. I also remember John Edwards in 2008.

Since then, it appears increasingly likely that politicians (especially Republicans) are not held to legal and moral accounts. There is a reason why, in my opinion, they are the result of wealthy benefactors, and later, Citizens United. We should call them the Billionaire-Epstein class. Coincidence? Causation?

To me, it's a theory I observe: the wealthy only care about themselves and not us.

Look at that chart again. There are many reason why we are here, but money, the lack of moral & legal courage is a huge part of it.

Peace: &
Raine

I see the younglings where I work. There's a student that arrives in a chauferred limousine every morning. Another drives a Maclaren.

I went to a community college and took the subway.

They are not us, and our worlds do not intersect.

Yes, but...

They control how we can afford to live our lives.

James Talarico: “I've spent my entire career in Texas bringing Democrats and Republicans together to take on corporate interests, to lower the cost of housing, of childcare, of prescription drugs, including insulin.”

My petite brain cannot comprehend that level of wealth and arrogance. Some weeks I'm happy to have an extra ten dollars in my wallet. 50, 100, 500 million is never enough for them.
