The Obituary
Author: TriSec    Date: 04/25/2026 10:57:54

A man goes to a newspaper stand every day, buys a copy of Pravda, glances at the front cover, curses, and throws it away.

After a few weeks of this the seller just has to ask what's going on: "why do you always look at the cover but never inside?"

"I'm looking for an obituary."

"An obituary? But those are in the back!"

"Oh no, the obituary I'm looking for will be on the front page."

Alas, the one I'm looking for did not appear today. As a side note, how depraved is that, that I awaken every morning and go looking for somebody to die? Anyway, I digress.

But consider that obituary. It is something we are all hoping and longing for, but what do we do when it happens?

A good deal of that will depend on the timing. If he is removed, disgraced, incarcerated at the time - there will be great rejoicing in the land!

But....what if he's still in office?

We're going to get this.

After an elaborate funeral held in Prague on 7 June 1942, Heydrich's coffin was placed on a train to Berlin where a second ceremony was held in the new Reich Chancellery on 9 June. Himmler gave the eulogy. Hitler attended and placed Heydrich's decorations—including the highest grade of the German Order, the Blood Order Medal, the Wound Badge in Gold, and the War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords—on his funeral pillow.

Unlike Heydrich, however - the President is likely to end up at Arlington National Cemetery in a place of honor. Which will in turn become a place of pilgrimage, and our National Shame will be perpetuated forevermore.

It would be better for everyone if he ended up like Mozart.
