“I believe it is a serious concern and I hope that each and every decent American comes to town hall meetings with a video camera and demands action,” she wrote.
Having seen his colleague Castle come under attack, Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich.) is taking no chances.
“Before I got back to Michigan before the break, we’ll go through it, so that we’re versed in it,” Hoekstra said recently. “Just like anything else, if you see a hot issue ... it’s sort of like, ‘Let me go take a look at this and see what the status is.’”
Hoekstra believes there’s no “compelling case” questioning Obama’s origins. But after talking to Castle about his town hall, he knows that he’d better be ready with an answer.

I assure you, I wasn't one of them.
Sen. Jim Inhofe has also tried to find the elusive middle ground.
“They have a point,” he said of the birthers. “I don’t discourage it. ... But I’m going to pursue defeating [Obama] on things that I think are very destructive to America.”

 I am so over this dispute. To tell the truth-- I totally agree with Momma on this. I refuse to defend cops acting stupidly.
I am a daily listener to your station during my afternoon commute - the Big Show gang are fantastic, knowledgeable and entertaining. I also sometimes listen to the D&C morning show for sports segments & stuff I might have missed the night before, but the moment they start doing opinionated nonsense and annoying political rants I immediately change the station because they make me literally sick; I usually tune back later for some actual sports talk.
For the past five days, they have not talked about sports AT ALL. Every time I've tuned in, which has been several times from 6:30-9AM each day. AN ENTIRE WORK WEEK. I am sure I'm not the only one who is sick of hearing nothing but the insane know-nothing Rush Limbaugh-wannabe rantings of sports talk VJs. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who is fed up with it either. I suggest you have a chat with the two morning dodos - either they get back to the sports talk IMMEDIATELY or start losing listeners to your new competition in town.

Day 5 of Sports Talk Held Hostage.. And I've had enough of the crap. Scoop sending you PM on Facecrack...
Timeline:
January 21, 2009 - New York Times contacts all aides, secretaries, etc that worked in the Bush administration.
January 22, 2009 - NYT milks all these people for every political or military decision ever considered. NYT then puts all this stuff in a vault.
Then, every time Nancy Pelosi lies, Obama's health plan loses massive support, or any other damaging incident occurs, they release a story out of their vault to distract from the administration's deceptions.
Does anyone see a pattern here? Then again, I am just speculating. They probably aren't being dishonest journalists/political activists.

It's starting to feel like I may end up joining twitter after all. One of my friends is starting a Doctor Who update on his twitter page as well as his facebook page.

Morning, comrades!
Well....since I lost my vacation time and money earlier this year, we're not going anywhere in 2009.
But your loyal TriSec loves to plan, so I'm already looking at 2010.
On the list of possible things....heading Downcape, getting a cabin up in the mountains (of NH, VT, or NY) or the one that intrigues me most....touring Civil war sites through the Shenandoah valley and hitting the Skyline Drive.
What say you, Virginia delegation? Where does one stay in and around the ol' Skyline?
(I've already looked at the I-81 corridor, but avoiding a chain on the interstate would be much better.)
Of course, maybe we could all have a commune and rent a big ol, 7-bedroom house somewhere on the Jersey shore and have a big party for the week.

Is the only thing that's proping up this birther movement is the fact that the Pres has a short form for a birhtcertificate?
Cause I have a short version of mine from DC - mine isn't even from a state does that make me not American?

There's apparently also some alleged claim that they witnessed the actual birth in Kenya but it sounds like total BS. Of course they would have to file a false birth notice to the two Honolulu papers that announced his birth.
