I have long thought that to stop a societal problem, it's essential to actively stop perpetuating it. For example: if you want to stop antisemitism, don't be an anti-semite. Want to end racism? Be anti-racist. My father was a racist and was taught certain things. When I I realized how much I may have hurt marginalized people I learned that I didn't have to perpetuate the problem. The #MeToo movement was a clarion call for men to stop abusing women. Makes sense right?

This morning I was prepared to write about the exploding pagers in Lebanon. There are a couple theories, but the most likely one is that Israel intercepted the pagers somewhere along the supply chain, and planted Semtex in them. This is a developing story, and more details will eventually leak out. However, with only 50 days left until election day, it behooves me to comment on the state of the race, and the stories adjacent to it.
