Good Morning.

I spend over a half an hour typing up a Saturday Magnum Opus, then when I hit "preview" it all went away.

This is the second saturday this has happened....I was nervous about "Ask a Vet" this past week, but it stuck.

Anyone else had this happen?

I'm not going to try to recover anything now; we'll soon be heading out to me mum's for a birthday party. My neice turned 12 yesterday and wanted a pool party this year...looks like the weather will be ideal!

Sorry to hear that TriSec - I always copy & paste to notepad periodically to back it up because I've had my browser lock up, or drop the wireless connection, and lose everything. I've also accidentally "lost the focus" on the edit box and hit the backspace key which is the same effect as hitting the "back" button on the browser. Again - that loses everything.

I wish there was some way to deal with that. I'll see if I can do some sort of automatic caching to a session var or cookie with a recover button.

Attention world... this is a coffee shop, not a playground. Not a day care and not a toys are us.

Parents, please take note, that I do not appreciate being poked with a straw like I am a nerfball.

Recording some stuff this morning.....my "Miles live at Carnegie Hall" has an honest-to-goodness skip in it! (Fortunately at the 1:44 mark, so I didn't blow an entire side of recording.)

Hi everyone. Nothing like late nights at work which means I went to bed really late (like Sunrise) and slept until 1 PM.

If you can adjust your turntable's tracking pressure and anti-skate, you might be able to get it so it will play back the skip normally. I drop the stylus pressure down (usually from 1.5 to 1 and turn up the anti-skating (if the record skips ahead). The record will be noisier, but I have yet to encounter a record that wouldn't work doing this.
