Larry Craig, is he 'Da ho', a 'Nauti' Ho, or does he love his job?....
Author: Raine    Date: 10/08/2007 12:15:59

Good Monday morning! Amidst all the sports this weekend, I am sure some of this one went under the radar...
Larry Craig to Join Idaho Hall of Fame
Yes, you read that right... Idaho has a "Hall of Fame"... (I did not know either)
Sen. Larry Craig will be inducted into the Idaho Hall of Fame next week, despite his well-publicized arrest and guilty plea in an airport sex sting, officials said.

The non-profit Idaho Hall of Fame Association picked Craig in March, months before he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after a Minneapolis airport police officer accused him of soliciting sex in the men's restroom, the organization's board chairman said.[...]

But some Republicans said the honor is inappropriate now. Kootenai County Republican precinct committeeman Phil Thompson said Idaho Hall of Fame officials should consider at least postponing the induction.
Perhaps Larry will stall his induction the same way he did with his senate resignation? In the end, I'm sure Larry is flushed with pride...

But hey, speaking of Larry *I am not Gay* Craig... it seems as tho he might have something in common with our Favorite CrystalMethodist!! Yes... I am talking about Ted "I know what you did last night" Haggard... His former "escort" claims to have known Larry Craig as well...

The male escort responsible for the downfall of Christian evangelist leader Ted Haggard is now alleging that embattled Senator Larry Craig also came to see him.

While promoting his new book during a radio interview with KNWQ-AM in Palm Springs Wednesday night, Mike Jones hesitated from making the allegation on the air.[...]
While he hesitated doing so on the air, a NewsChannel 3 camera was rolling when he made the accusation during a commercial break.

Feingold asked whether the Senator had seen Jones in a hotel room.

Jones responded, "No, he came to see me."

Jones then added, "His travel records to Denver have been documented. That's what I wanted to say."
[...]
"I've been with many politicians and all I can tell you is for a fact, that Larry Craig is a hypocrite."
Oh my, oh my...
Now, I don't want to be one to pass scurrilous rumors... but... well... Maybe they just had some man talk about wide stances and stuff. This could get interesting. It could bad, naughty, even nasty...

BTW... For bonus giggles... or tears... you make the call... Larry Had a Yacht called the I Da Ho... and ... no really, wait for it... the Nauti Haven... You really should click on this link... Larry and Stevens and Duke ...Oh, Ny... err I mean NEY...
The travails of Craig, who is seeking to withdraw his guilty plea to charges related to what the authorities say was a sex-solicitation incident at a Minneapolis airport restroom, are only the latest to rock this eclectic Washington neighborhood.

One resident describes the strip of Potomac River waterfront as a "floating trailer park" where everyone knows everyone else's business. Protected by locked gates and security, members of Congress mix with lawyers, lobbyists, judges, bureaucrats, established and aspiring government contractors and others lucky enough to live there.

"There's no other place like it. Why would all these big shots with their big boats be anywhere else?" said Dutch von Ehrenfried, a former yacht club commodore who says a Cabinet member, NASA astronauts, and the musician Yanni have attended parties on his boat.
[...]
Craig, known as exceptionally frugal, unwittingly called attention to the club when he gave the arresting officer in Minneapolis his club mail drop as a home address. Craig is a well-known figure at the marinas, where he has lived off and on during his 27-year career.
[...] Neighbors float only a few arms-lengths away from each other. Most shower in bathhouses and, after hours, gossip over drinks.
 You think they will shower together now, knowing Larry is back in town???? I am not making this stuff up. I couldn't.

So on this Monday morning... I ask every one of us to proclaim:
I am not gay... I have never been Gay... I love my wife...
Loudly, proudly, and get used to it, cause Larry Craig isn't going any where, till he clears his name... and that will be a goldmine for months and months at this rate.

Thank you Larry Craig... Thank you so much!

Happy Monday!

Morning, Chris!

Well, that is a relief...we've been a bit worried about the declining state of Momma's health here on the eastern seaboard....

Can't she take a pill or something? I mean come on, this is the 21st Century and all...

Just for the record, I am not gay and never have been gay, but I lived with a gay man for 8 years prior to marrying an actual woman....(and said former roomate was the Best Man at this wedding..)

But then again, as I often claim, I must be a lesbian anyway. I only sleep with women, I got married in Massachusetts.....and I drive a Subaru!

Sat Night Live actually had a funny bit this past weekend. Highlights include:

"I'm not creeped out that you tried to have gay sex in an airport bathroom...I'm creeped out that you tried to have any sex in an airport bathroom. I don't even like to go to the bathroom in an airport bathroom. I mean, really..."

"And, really? You oppose gay marriage... What? You think marriage takes the sizzle out of it? Or are you worried that if gay marriage is legalized they'll be fewer gay men looking for sex in airport bathrooms?"

"So in conclusion, you're gay, but a married Republican, you're going to vote for anti-gay legislation, but you solicit gay sex in airport bathroom - Wow, you do have a wide stance."

Back from the doctor. Back to losing weight. Still need to work on the blood sugar numbers, though. Oh well, keep on trying.

I saw that earlier on MSNBC...the Rockefeller Center skating rink opened today, and they were commenting on that...

Meanwhile, it's gray and rainy and only 59 here in New England...

I assume they use something other than ice at this point. It looks like the cold front has stayed to the north of the tri-state area.

Good entry, Raine!

The hypocrisy of this administration and its allies is incredible.

By the way, the UNN Daily Headlines are up. The British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is reducing the forces in Iraq to 2,500 troops. It looks like we should change the name fromt he Coalition of the Willing to the Coalition of the Leaving.

Sorry about the double entry. My browser stopped, and I hit refresh.

Naughty browser.

I went outside. Too hot for October. Time to take a nap in the A//C which normally shouldn't even be on by this time of year.

Who's going to listen to Marc Maron fill in for Rachel?

Comment by Will in Chicago on 10/08/2007 21:19:42
I usually listen to Jeff Farias on KPHX Phoenix and chat over at Democracy Interactive. I might listen in for a few minutes, but I have a lot to do here.

Flipping between some shows in the DVR and Monday Night Football. I caught a brief glimpse of the game and then switched it off.
