Geez, Apple doesn't make it easy to transfer iTunes library to another computer, granted the library is 100G in size. Finally decided to bite the bullet and see what my wife's netbook will do. If it doesn't transfer right......oh well. But so far, so good. Wonder what will happen when I connect the iPod.
Just how I wanted to spend my weekend.....

Bin Laden had the porn on thumb drives and dvds. One has to wonder what he fancied!
Can't you put your iTunes library on an external HD and copy it over?

That's what I did. I set it up to have the library on an external drive. Unfortunately, the actual library .xml file was still on the old laptop. Took changing boot order to ignore USB and the DVD drive to get it to boot and get the .xml file off. The laptop only runs for a few minutes before it shuts down (overheating or PS, who knows).
The netbook now seems to connect, but it lost track of a bunch of apps. I can't believe the amount of crap she bought, free and otherwise. It's trying to download those now. I connected the netbook direct to the router.
