Morning!
Author: Raine    Date: 12/19/2011 13:25:57

I will not be writing about much today -- simply for one reason.I have a very dear friend in town for the night, and well -- you know what happens when dear friends come to casa de Bob and Raine...

So what is happening out there today?

Morning, comrades!

Say gang, remember this list?

Well, something finally clicked this weekend. We're in the middle of our "12 Days of Christmas" promotion at the Bean factory. Prominently signed as CHRISTMAS, and multiple greetings and wishes of Merry Christmas throughout the store. (I was near the cashiers yesterday, heard it said repeatedly.) Of course, I prefer "Happy Christmas"...since it's unfamiliar to American ears, I find it tends to confuse people.

I'm betting the ol' AFA never set foot in an LL Bean, but did anyone expect a right-wing tool shop to do any actual research?

Anyway...

Of course, I am impressed by the rending of garments, gnashing of teeth, and the North Koreans throwing dirt on their heads to show how sorry they are.

It isn't easy to get an entire population to act convincingly like that, but I suppose the off-camera AK-47s pointed at them are a great motivator.

Is there a possibility that Dear Leader passed long ago and the State Media is finally getting around to telling us?

Praise Tebow......

Ya know that in the UK "Happy Christmas" has been supplanted by "Merry Christmas." I know expats.

nope, that's their Christmas card - who ever chose lemon yellow should be strung up by their toes that is not a good color on any of those people

Well I'll be damned... that portrait is real!
Leading by example, Congresswoman Bachmann’s Statement of Disbursements for her Congressional Office includes a payment of $1,480.00 on May 17, 2011 to Rick Busch Photographics …. here is a sample of his work

Congresswoman Bachmann poses for a family portrait with her husband Marcus and their five children—Lucas, Harrison, Elisa, Caroline and Sophia.

I think that portrait of the Bachmann Family needs to be placed into the Awkward family photos website.

You wanna see some serious RatF*cking? check it out. Read the ENTIRE post. It appears as tho some crazy anarchists types have created a website under the guise of serious journalists...

this is total insanity friends, and I want people to see and know how disinformation happens, and how people with a reputation to protect kinda get a little angry. Josh has already said he will sue.

And I don't blame him one damn bit. I scoped the story out, I read the *about* portion of the website in question and it does say that Josh is a writer for the blog. Stunning stuff.

ugh! I will be sending a gas mask as soon as I can, good sir. That is a violation of both good office etiquette as well as certain provisions of the Geneva Conventions

A very late Mr. Joe is off to the Post Office. Sure hope it makes it on time.

(store cutoff is tomorrow, so I think it will be OK.)

Well, I'll be damned.
AT&T's plan to buy T-Mobile USA, first announced in March, has met with opposition from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Communications Commission.

In late November AT&T said it would take a $4 billion charge in case the deal collapsed, including a $1 billion book value for the spectrum AT&T would have to give to T-Mobile USA.

.... yeah -- This administration is just like B*sh....

Hello, bloggers! I hope that everyone is well.

Yesterday, I received some sad news. My cousin George Kaminski, who was battling pancreatic cancer, died early Saturday morning at the age of 72. My cousin, whom we called Uncle George, was only five years younger than my father would be if he were still alive.

George's wife was a friend of my Mom and George mentioned that he had an uncle a few years older than him -- introducing my parents to each other.

Most of my postings of late have been sad as it has been a trying time. I would like to thank everyone for their support. Let us keep those who are no longer here close to our hearts, striving to build a world worthy of their memories and their dreams. Also, if you are mourning someone or worried about someone, my heart goes out to you. Here is a song that helps me throw some of the dark times -- as there is a joy amid the sorrow.

Thanks. I am just worn out emotionally between my grand niece and worried about my cousin -- who was doing the traditionally family thing of trying not to let anyone else worry. I will swing by early for tomorrow's blog.

It is good to have friends, and I am here for everyone.
