And you are all more than welcome to begin the countdown to the beginning of baseball season! Throwing this up here whilst I wake up and smack myself. I still can't believe it happened.

That's right, Tri trashed the blog. So I'll go clean it up and will be back.

Oh, this happened too:

I posted this to yesterday's bloggie earlier this morning without realizing it. It really belongs here. So here goes.

This will be the third (no fourth) place I've said this....

Congrats to the Giants and their fans.

Now please permit me to whine (not about the Giants, they won and are the better team), and toss some other bits around.

There's so much blame to go around as to why the Pats lost, yet it all seemed to center around the offense. In a way they're right, but it all centers around the fatal flaw the Pats have....an historically cruddy defense. The offense finally crumbled after having to carry the team all year, knowing that if they didn't score in that penultimate drive, the defense would be unable to stop the Giants from at least getting into field goal range. Hell, Belichick had to give the Giants a TD just to get the ball back.

And I can't believe how many people are telling me I'm crazy for saying this. Belichick is supposed to be a defensive genius, yet each year the defense gets worse and worse.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least to find that Brady was injured after the 2nd half sack.

I think they should just dispense with singers carrying microphones. No way in hell was Madonna singing that live. Just drop the pretense.

While the team at the end was all "we win as a team and lose as a team" it took Gisele (who can be compared to Lennon's Yoko Ono) to say what everyone was probably thinking. I think this is what she said....

My husband can't fucking throw and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times.

Morning

Well. Gisele has a point!

As far as the Halftime show -- I'm not so upset, it was a show and I really did like it. I couldn't hear much of it, and I seemed to have missed the finger... But it was a fun spectacle.

I think it was live, just because NBC is apologizing all over the place for that silly "incident" Ce-lo cracked me up.

Good game. But long! Why is football so freaking long? Isn't it only supposed to be 1 hour of play? Sheesh!

Halftime was quite good and I am NOT a Madge fan, but she did a superb job. Loved the LMFAO mix-up. Ended on one of the only songs of hers I like (Like a Prayer).

Commercials okay. Nothing great.

And, Giants won!!

There was only one game yesterday and that was Chelsea and Manchester United. The Sith came back in second half for 3-3 tie.

:curmudgeon: :shakes fist at clouds:

One thing I am sincerely hoping for -- I hope that the NYG parade will lead to a Vets parade.

Speaking of Sith.... (lawd I wish Tri was here) I have to say this, please forgive me.

2004: Patriotsw won the Superbowl.
2004: Who won the election?
2008: Giants win the Superbowl.
2008: Obama wins...
2010: Giants win the Superbowl.
2010: ???

I got a good feeling.

Also in 2004, the BoSox won the World series. 2 days later -- well, it was election day. Also --

The yankees only win the world series during Democratic presidencies. You can look it up.

Just sayin.

Somewhere, there is a designer laughing her/his ass off --- this had to start out as a joke. A little extra time on thier hands, just keeping the skills sharp... someone saw it and said submit it...

and someone approved it. First the art director and then it went up to the creative director. It's funny and creepy as hell.

It cracks me up.

Tell ya what, mala. I gotta go there.
maybe Art missed that part of his unsplendid Thesis. Everytime a couple has unprotected sex without a woman getting pregnant -- BOTH parents die.

Estupida. Asshat.

See now what I heard on ODC was that they were told to take down the big blue tent by PP to remove all the other tents but it was negogiated that they PP could inspect and remove any camping equipment but they could leave the tents themselves as symbolic.
