"But, I just still feel like not a good person," she says. "And I don't forgive myself."

The murder he boyfriend committed. Mulugeta Seraw

Why she is, in my opinion a good person.
You know, my 16-year-old protects a cross-dresser at school.
Ms Sanders, you have raised kids who don't hate.

Her boyfriend, Ken Meitske was a nasty piece of work. He was a violent evil POS.

Speaking of Taxes.... Romney is really digging in.
President Obama's campaign offered Mitt Romney a deal today: Release five years of tax returns, and we'll stop demanding more.

Romney's campaign refused, calling the Obama request a political ploy designed to distract voters.

"It is clear that President Obama wants nothing more than to talk about Governor Romney's tax returns instead of the issues that matter to voters, like putting Americans back to work, fixing the economy and reining in spending," Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades wrote in a response to Obama counterpart Jim Messina.

I really really think that the Romney campaign is underestimating Obama.

On a less snarky note, clearly the tax attack is working. If it wasn't, the rMoney team wouldn't be carping.

Hey folks...jes' passing through.

Still got the pump on, but minimal side effects again for round two. I've not been sleeping well, and the temp thing is really getting to me, but otherwise OK.

I am back at the store this weekend (Sunday), so maybe things are finally starting to get back towards a new normal.

It's the peripheral neuropathy - a side effect of the oxalaplatin.

Makes me extremely suceptible to cold, mostly when I touch cold things. Still getting that electric surge through the ol' dental area whilst drinking, that's the crazy one.

I am in the office today. I'll be leaving here about 2, I estimate the pump will run out about 3:15.

Good morning, everybody. Anyone considering coming to New York on October 27th so I can order tickets? It would be cool to get the whole gang back for those of us who went to the pilot. If not, I probably will still go myself and hopefully go to the meet and grope as well

Liv, you should get yourself a ticket. I would love to get up there, but right now I can't in all good faith promise anything. Get a meet and grope. If we can make it, we can always meet up.

Between funerals and wedding planning (my sister), The travel up there has just been nuts this year.

Things are just too tight to even consider another NYC trip. Even if I could have swung tickets in Boston (which I probably couldn't), I didn't feel like leaving Mrs. Rabbit alone even for that short a time, think that was the time of her knee flare-up.

Gotcha. The experiemental chemo my mom had caused peripheral neuropathy like nobody's business. It hit her in her feet and hands, she likened to having pins in feet and hands almost all the time. Then there was the skin peeling on her feet...

Say gang, I know most of you listen to Momma live. I still don't; we're blocked, and my phone isn't smart, it's only clever.

In any case, I've been picking up the bits for aeons until I accidentally deleted my ipod feed the other day.

When I went back out to get it, I discovered that there's two sources now. There's the official SMS bits feed, and Current is putting one out with different material from the show.

Pretty cool...now I get a double-bonus!

I'm headed out in a few to ditch my pump.

I'll be off phone-banking for a local candidate this evening, so TTFN!

Comment by TriSec on 08/17/2012 17:48:50
Say, and I just ran across this. This seems major....at least locally.

In a rare endorsement for a state Democratic primary election, US Senator John Kerry has become the latest member of the Massachusetts congressional delegation to weigh in on a race to succeed state Senator Susan Fargo.

Kerry this week endorsed Joe Kearns Goodwin, an Army veteran from Concord, who is one of five Democrats seeking the party’s nomination in the primary election on Sept. 6.

US Congressmen Michael Capuano (D-Somerville) and Barney Frank (D-Newton) have also endorsed different candidates in the state Senate race.

“I’ve known Joe almost all of his life and I’ve seen up close the character and commitment he brings to life’s big decisions, whether it was volunteering to serve in the military or committing himself to the cause of public service when he came home,” Kerry said in a press release announcing his endorsement Kearns Goodwin. “He’s a tremendous advocate who brings courage and passion to this endeavor and I know he’s animated by the values that really make a difference in peoples’ lives.”

Jodi Seth, the communications director for Kerry, said the senator rarely endorses candidates in primary elections because of the number of friends he has in the Democratic Party and because he respects that voters like to make up their own minds and don’t need a push from anyone.

“But in this case, he’s known Joe almost his entire life, and grew particularly close to Joe in the days after 9/11 when Joe came to him to talk about his decision to volunteer for the military,” Seth said in an email.

OK, I am convinced that FishBowl DC is a nasty petty catty mess. Check out this exchange from twitter:

KateNocera ‏apparently @kenvogel and I are the same person. except in @FishbowlDC 's universe my last name has two Rs. http://bit.ly/N90LxO
The link in question is just bitchy IMO. Ncera is a politico reporter, and I kinda like her even more after what Fishbowl DC had to say to her:

Hey @KateNocera ever think to just write me instead of going online like a beyotch? Now I feel like screwing with your name even more.

She replied:
@FishbowlDC unclear how i was being a beyotch. next time I'll email but my name has one R!

And they are a bunch of assholes.

Wow that was a quick 20 days.....(actually only 14). My super duper handy dandy spectrum analyzer is back from repair.

Guess I know what I'm doing all day Monday (swapping the loaner analyzer back out and verifying everything is happy, including making sure the new software I wrote this week still works). Good thing there's a lull in the action.

This is a beautiful and sad story. Having said goodbye to my dog Holly, I feel for Tom Dobies.

In my own news, I am surprised to still find openings in the Bay State. So, I am hoping on some interviews soon. If not, I have some back up plans to move beyond my long tenure as a substitute teacher -- which counts as zero experience in school districts.

Idle thought of the afternoon. Which convention will be the bigger draw for hookers and strippers? RNC or DNC? My two cents is on the RNC, the more talk about "traditional family values" the deep the hypocrisy.
