What? It's no better or worse than FOX news.

Sure, I get some of my news from them. Just because they are sleazy and overbearing doesn't make them wrong. On occasion, they do get things right. Weren't they right about Lindsay Lohan?

MITT ROMNEY'S SON
Signed 'Abortion' Clause
In Surrogate Birth Contract
EXCLUSIVE
TMZ has learned Mitt Romney's son Tagg -- who had twins this year through a surrogate -- signed an agreement that gave the surrogate, as well as Tagg and his wife, the right to abort the fetuses in non-life threatening situations ... and Mitt Romney covered some of the expenses connected with the arrangement ... and it may boil down to an incredibly stupid mistake.

The twin boys -- David Mitt and William Ryder -- were born on May 4, 2012. We've learned Tagg and his wife Jen, along with the surrogate and her husband, signed a Gestational Carrier Agreement dated July 28, 2011. Paragraph 13 of the agreement reads as follows:

"If in the opinion of the treating physician or her independent obstetrician there is potential physical harm to the surrogate, the decision to abort or not abort is to be made by the surrogate."

Translation: Tagg and Jen gave the surrogate the right to abort the fetuses even if her life wasn't in danger. All the surrogate has to show is "potential physical harm," which could be something like preeclampsia -- a type of high blood pressure that could damage the mother's liver, kidney or brain, but is not necessarily life-threatening.

Paragraph 13 goes on:

"In the event the child is determined to be physiologically, genetically or chromosomally abnormal, the decision to abort or not to abort is to be made by the intended parents. In such a case the surrogate agrees to abort, or not to abort, in accordance with the intended parents' decision."

And there's another relevant provision in Paragraph 13:

"Any decision to abort because of potential harm to the child, or to reduce the number of fetuses, is to be made by the intended parents."

Translation: Tagg and his wife, Jen, had the right to abort the fetuses if they felt they would not be healthy.

Sources connected with Mitt Romney tell TMZ, Mitt was involved in the surrogate arrangement because he paid some of the expenses connected with the agreement. We do not know if Mitt Romney read the contract or knew the terms.

Mitt has said, "I'm in favor of abortion being legal in the case of rape and incest and the health and life of the mother." Otherwise, Romney is against abortion.

Really, I don't care one bit about this. Here is what I care about: A man who has been running for president since at least 2006 should read some things that he puts his name to! He should be involved, because when - IF - he becomes our Commander and Chief I gonna want him to, you know, maybe browse over various contracts and agreements? Some important documents might cross his desk.

It's things like this, and there are others, not the least of which is letting someone dye his skin (face only) ORANGE to speak in front of brown people, things like this are important. They let us know whether you're a man who can make decisions or a man that just goes with the flow and lets the "little people" do all the figuring stuff out.

The more and more I learn about Mitt Romney, the more I think he's just a rich, rich guy who has everything in the world, except being the most powerful. He wants this on his resume.

Today is "get rid of Comcast day" at Chez Rabbit. Can't justify $100+ for crap we don't watch.

Can get a good assortment of locals on the TV with an indoor antenna. Now to see if the TiVo works as well. I've heard stories that some of the HD models are pretty deaf in the tuner department while cable works fine.

If this gets widesperead coverage, this news may hurt Romney with the evangelical Christian base in his party.

Velveeta, I added a link. Initially, I thought on starting to read this that I might find a link to the Onion, but the Romney campaign has even more trouble to worry about.

So far successful.

The HD TiVo seems to be happy with the major networks, and my standard TiVo seems to be talking nicely to my converter box.

Considering I have a crappy Rat Shack antenna, getting a better antenna will help with some of the weaker channels.

If I can get MeTV that will help a lot with the Wife Acceptance Factor. Right now I can't get it because it's on a piddle power station, but it will be available on one of the big 4 (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) next month.

Actually, I could add if we were just covering the tabloid trivia world, we could mention when Paris Hilton made her comments that gay people were icky and most likely AIDS carriers. And this is from a woman who apparently gave genital herpes to her partner in the sex tape that's floated around.

I wonder if I should get an antenna back-up but that would require where I live to have an outdoor antenna or let one be put up. Only problem is that the one station is on a weak VHF signal which happens to be the station that's off my local cable system due to a retransmission consent dispute with Tribune. While I can watch the primary station on DirecTV, I don't have access to the Antenna TV or This TV subchannels.
TR, I guess simply switching to FiOS, RCN, or satellite were not options.

I think if I lived in a Comcast area with their rep for customer service and picture quality, I would be checking out the competition in those areas.

Doesn't really matter, Liv. Can't afford $100+ no matter whether it's Comcast or Verizon, and Verizon is not available here.

I can get ThisTV now. As I said before, MyTV is really spotty now, but will be on a much stronger station next month.

Since there won't be any NHL this year I don't care about NESN. My wife watches quite a bit of stuff on Netflix, and she can still watch TPIR, LMAD and Judge Judy.

While Mrs. Rabbit is actually working today at a LEGO build, I don't see her going back to steady work any time soon.

I guess you have the same issue I have with Me-TV because it's on a fringe signal (even though it's a primary), the Bridgeport station that's the local Me-TV affiliate in New York is on a weak signal as well and is only available on FiOS and satellite because they haven't aggressively pursued must-carry as the lame mostly infomercial RNN in the Hudson Valley has done. To get all the New York locals, with the cable and satellite combo I am able to get all New York area locals (although not all sub-channels) between the stations not just on NYC or Long Island but New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, and Fairfield County.

I'm going to guess that the current Me-TV affiliate will switch back to RTV when Me-TV moves and at least you will get it full time and not be plagued with the infomercial pre-emptions. that we get.

I've just heard from brother TriSec that he has two tickets to the next Brown-Warren debate. (Oct 1) I might be live blogging that one!
