Chat amongst yourselves today as yours truly continues to fight this sick.

Herewith, a few topics, this one from the ever reliable Drudge Report:
Watch out Florida friends, drones will soon fly over your tanning towels on the beach.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office is experimenting with two surveillance drones that it hopes to turn loose over Metro Orlando skies this summer.

Sheriff's spokesman Jeff Williamson would not reveal specific uses for the drones, larger versions of which are known for flying over tribal regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan to drop bombs on suspected terrorists.

But Williamson did say Orange's remote-controlled planes would not be armed. The agency still needs approval from county leaders and the Federal Aviation Administration to use them. The FAA said it does not comment on drone applications.

And, some sad news for those that loves pictures of cats, weird looking photoshopped people, and creeper shots of under-age girls. Reddit co-owner commits suicide. (This could turn into a big story).

Former Reddit co-owner and founder of DemandProgress, Aaron Swartz committed suicide at the age of 26 in New York City yesterday, according to reports by The Tech. Swartz had been battling criminal charges related to his attempts to make JSTOR archives public and had been facing up to 50 years in prison and $4 million dollars in fines at the time of his death.

In addition to becoming an early co-owner of Reddit when his company Infogami was bought by the mammoth-to-be, Swartz also co-authored the RSS 1.0 specifications at the age of 14, and founded Demand Progress, a key player in last year's battle against SOPA.

I didn't know who Adam Swartz was until yesterday. I read an amazing piece over at Boing Boing I sincerly hope his demise wasn't brought about by this:

Raine, I think that there should be an investigation into the prosecution of Aaron Swartz. A lot of experts have said that the government overreacted and I have to wonder what rule a few zealous people played in contributing to this young man's demise.

A friend shared this article with me from the Nation: How to Save the Democratic Party.

I think we need less Blue Dog Democrats and more people of principle. Also, I would NOT like to see drones in the U.S. and have to say that each drone strike that also hits civilians helps to create more support for fanatics.

Hey folks.

TriSec perking up slightly after a very long and tiring weekend. Thought I was supposed to be better after my last treatment, not worse?

Speaking of worse; I've been out of the loop. What the hell is up with Herr Mondo?

Pats/Houston was much more entertaining than last time, but the outcome was no different.

Anyway...
