Pass it on. Right now there are glitches. There are problems with the ACA website. There is no getting around that. Until then, remind people of this phone number:

1-800-318-2596

And send them this video:
In just 75 seconds, Mika Brzezinski, live on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, was able to dispel conservative anti-Obamacare lies and connect with an Obamacare agent — live on national television.

Although website glitches have marred the roll-out of Obamacare’s online exchanges, President Obama is encouraging Americans to call the hotline to sign-up, but some critics say that isn’t working either.

1-800-318-2596

ObamaCare is more than just a website. It's the law of the land -- once upon a time there was no internets and we still had the old timey thing called a telephone.

1-800-318-2596

I won't deny that we are a technology fueled culture in this day and age, but there are ways to get affordable health care. Speaking of fueled, it really could be worse, considering who the Republicans talked to about implementing ObamaCare
According to emails obtained by CNBC, House Republicans asked the founder of McAfee Associates to “guide our oversight and review” of the Affordable Care Act website.

In 2012, McAfee went on the run from Belize authorities. He was later detained in Guatemala and deported to the United States, but has not been charged with a crime.
This is the same man who was asked about his anti-virus product “I take it off,” he said. “It’s too annoying.”

1-800-318-2596

There are bumps in the road, yes, but I'm glad we didn't hire a (allegedly) meth addled murder suspect 'person of interest' in a Belize murder to implement the online exchanges.

Way to go House GOP!

This was the lead story on TRMS last night. I almost drove my car into a tree this morning listening to the podcast. "The Gospel of Rachel" carries much weight in these parts, but I actually shook my head and said to my ipod, "You made that up" at the end of the segment.

A final word on our former Scout brethren in Utah (Asshat Council).

They were members of the LDS wing of Scouting, and therefore violate TriSec's own Scout Proverb:

"Never trust a Scout leader that doesn't drink coffee."

Added this to the blog as well:

There was just one more question, though: “Do you have McAfee antivirus on your computer?” He looked at me and put down his cigarette. “I take it off,” he said. “It’s too annoying.”

Interesting observation. Of course, the BBC's "Witness" podcast was about this today. They were interviewing a Marine survivor....and he sounded wistful when he pondered that this was the first time the US "turned and ran" after being attacked, and he quietly speculated that maybe we wouldn't have opened ourselves up to ongoing terrorism if we had stood firm.

But that is a soldier's point of view. Worth thinking about, though.

(I was a Senior in High School when this happened, so certainly not in tune with the geopolitical situation of those days.)

Exactly, written all the php, integrated the SQL, debugged the site, configured all the servers, did the software installs, created the CRM tool for the call center, debugged that as well and did the integration of the CRM into the VOIP phone system for the call center. Oh yeah he would have done all the hiring for the call center himself.

Comment by TriSec on 10/23/2013 14:13:26
Actually, the website scandal is this:

It was offshored. Some Canadian company with a questionable reputation got the bid, and of course they screwed it up.

I'm sure that somebody like The Google, or Apple, or even Amazon, that gets more hits and purchases than the exchanges on any given day could have coded that to work perfectly, but probably at a higher bid than what actually came in.

Thanks GOP, our government at "work".

Shit is starting to piss me off. I've been listening more and more to WNEW in the car.

Some phucking Romney guy writing BA for Forbes as a *blogger* and hired by National Review makes shit up and then the GOP repeats it like truth.

Pisses me off.

There is NO evidence that that ACA is under-estimating insurance quotes.

I think she's a bit more confused than before. I don't know if that's an effect from what they're doing to her, waiting to talk to a doctor. She's sleeping now, I don't think this place is conducive to sleep.

Looks like she suffered two strokes, fairly mild. One affected her vision in her left eye, the other affects memory. The neurologist feels there will be some improvement as the brain rewires itself. First thing is to get her blood pressure under control, that appears to be the cause.

I'm starting to get the feeling that in a year or two from now we will see that this was overblown. Like I said in the blog, there are problems -- that is to be expected, but everyone is running around all hair on fire.

A few of the questions were confusing. But, in my defense, I was listening to Steph and she makes me dumber.

PLUS: relative list goes like this: "Spouse, Domestic Partner...." :D

And, for child they have: "Child of Domestic Partner" Would that GW Bush had done this would that have been there? Hmmmmm?
