Monday, Monday.

Still sitting here trying to get myself motivated for a blog. As you all may have noticed I have been in a rut of late. It's not that I am burned out on the issues of the day, but rather I have a lot of personal family things going on that I would rather not discuss here in public. Coming down with a cold this past week has not helped either.

One thing keeps popping into my head lately: Be nice. Just be nice.

If you can't, then at least try to be nice. I know sometimes it's easier said than done. Sometimes the nicest thing we can do is walk away, or say no -- 'no more'.

I wish our elected officials would try being nice a little more. It seems as though an air of meanness has really overtaken some quarters of Capitol Hill and it's just ugly.

Anyway, I appreciate your patience with me these past few weeks. I will do my best to get back into the swing of things.

and
Raine

I dunno who watched, but the halftime show yesterday was amazing.

That Bruno Mars kid has got some serious talent.

heard it was good over the twitter - only thing I've seen is the ads this morning. All the Coke ones were great, and the Chevy "world cancer day" was good made me get teary. Most of the others were rather meh.

Good morning!! Raine, hang in there.

I am feeling down after a few things of late -- a friend's death. my general situation (broke and staying with family), and now the car woes. Still, the secret is to persevere and remember that this too shall pass.

When the Maserati Commercial ended someone at the party we were at yelled "Go one Percent!"

About that Maserati Ad

IT was really a stunner in my book. I didn't expect it all.

I am pretty disturbed by some of the reaction to the Coca Cola commercial, as detailed at Raw Story. It seems that all some people can do is hate.

You know, anyone pissed about that commercial is REALLY missing the point of the commercial.

Relating to the blog (such as it is) - as much as I enjoy the schadenfreud of the Christie scandal, and as happy as I am that his presidential options are swirling in the bowl, I am starting to get a little sick of hearing every new little detail poured over like the discovery of some kind of new life form. Last week, every host discussed nothing but Chris Christie. I KNOW there has to be other important news going on (like the Farm Bill and the Keystone pipeline). How about a little more balance?

I agree, and yet these are people that we share our society with in America. I take no comfort from the fact that every society has its share of bigots, but it is embarrassing to see these opinions in our country.

IT was a good interview.

I just hope that Crist can help pull the right a little farther to the center as opposed to the the left going a little further right.

20-something field manager is trying to act like my boss these days. Apparently doing my job for 20 years is not good enough to know when I need something from him in a certain format and he wants to pawn it off on me to do this job cause you its beneath him.

He's currently our boss's favorite right now cause he's all shiny and new, so no elbowing allowed and I doubt talking to our boss is going to do any good. I really do wish him well in this new position (he was a sales rep) but he's got to stop dumping things I ask of him back on me and watch his wording in emails, its not his place to give me orders for my job.

He looks it... and he seems to be a serious student of 60/70s funk and soul, majoring in James Brown in his heydey. I was also surprised to see that he plays the skins

I definitely have no love for Pete the Poodle and his rah-rah-rah pumped and jacked BS.

But it was definitely fun to see the destruction of the supposed "best offense ever". Maybe the next QB who thinks about breaking the TD pass record will think twice.

I suppose Adderall addiction will be the next big thing in the NFL since they're such a copycat league. Either that or hire head coaches that left their college program in ruins.

Why, it's snowing hard enough here to defeat Atlanta!

That is indeed sound advice.

We are expecting two to six inches of snow on Wednesday. I will have some photos to upload on the snow here.

We expect another six to eight inches on Wednesday, followed by sub zero lows. Today, I am doing a lot of house work, but tonight I am planning on a lot of job hunting -- including checking on jobs out East.
