Today, February 27, 2015, I predict very little work will get done in offices and homes around DC. Why?

Season 3 of House of Cards is out!

Wanker's boast that he can take care of ISIS because he trampled union rights in WI sounds like the crap McCain spewed when he said that he knew how to get Bin Laden, but we had to elect him President to find out what that was.

Guess we didn't need his help after all.

If George Takai is the Internet's cool, extroverted uncle, then Leonard Nemoy was the weird, quiet uncle.

Comment by Mondobubba on 02/27/2015 20:26:31
From the NYT obit for Leonard Nemoy:

Though his speaking voice was among his chief assets as an actor, the critical consensus was that his music was mortifying. Mr. Nimoy, however, was undaunted, and his fans seemed to enjoy the camp of his covers of songs like “If I Had a Hammer.” (His first album was called “Leonard Nimoy Presents Mr. Spock’s Music From Outer Space.”)

So what the hell… Santorum wants to send 10 thousand troops to crush Isil/s?

The threat of the Islamic State, he said, should be countered with a more aggressive U.S. mission. "If ISIS wants to establish a seventh-century caliphate, let's oblige them by bombing them back to the seventh century."

Santorum said the Obama administration's foreign policy strategy has hurt American credibility worldwide.

"In fact, the president's popularity is so bad around the world today that I heard this report from a source that the Kenyan government is actually developing proof that Barack Obama was actually born in America," he joked.

In recent months, Santorum—a former senator froom Pennsylvania who edged out Mitt Romney for a surprise first-place finish in the 2012 Iowa caucuses—has played up his experience on national security, deemphasizing the strict social conservatism he built his brand on.

At Friday's appearance, Santorum said he long ago predicted the threat currently posed by terrorists abroad, giving his farewell address in the Senate about radical Islam, which he called "the gathering storm of the 21st century." He said his terrorism-related experience goes back even further, when after 9/ 11 he studied al-Qaida, finding that "this is an enemy that has been attacking the West for over a thousand years."

Thanks!!! I had a busy day at work, where I was quite popular for bringing in some donuts.

Raine, I will keep your Oma in my thoughts during the Mi Sheberiach (healing prrayer) tonight at services. I hope that she recovers soon and is with us for many more years.
