Compare and Contrast.

This is what Barack Obama wrote in the book at Yad-Vashem in Israel. This is the man who will be president of the United States. This is from the man John McCain called a flip-flopper yesterday. Yeah, These are the words written that the McCain campaign, chose to attack Barack Obama for.

The words, are striking, and moving, but the eloquence in his writing speaks volumes about the man we can elect as president. He may not be a perfect man, but he will be a man who can restore dignity and Pride to a nation that sorely needs it. To read the words, in the man's handwriting... it is a moving experience.

For a laugh, or a cry... compare to the extra surgie surger, John McCain:

The Surge is for John McCain what Sovereign was for the pResident.
Don't believe me? - Compare, contrast:

I will take Barack Obama ANY day.
:peace: and

Another day of iffy weather....drove through flooded streets to get to the ol' salt mine this morning...

Did you get our storms from last night Tri?

Comment by TriSec on 07/24/2008 12:51:10
Had a chuckle this morning...

Seeing that I border a swing state (NH), all the campaigns buy in the Boston market to cover Southern NH.

Anyway, I was watching NECN this morning, and they did a brief story about how oil had fallen by $25/bbl over the past 8 days worth of trading.

Followed immediately by the McCain "Blame Obama" ad about the gas prices.

Nice timing. (wonder if they knew the ad was up next.....)

Anyway, I'm still struck by McCain's "Don't Hope" message. Yeah, that'll work. I'll just sit here in the corner eating worms and voting Republican.

There is a quote from Novak from back in 2000 (?) he says he HATES jaywalkers and would scream at them because he would like to just hit them or run them over. . . .

At the time he said he wouldn't hit them because he was a "comapssionate conservative"

Here, I'm just wondering why Steph is wasting time playing O'Reilly clips criticizing George Soros for allegedly funding moveon.org, when she could pretty much recycle the same clip from 1, 2, 4, 6 years ago.

Heh, I was listening to Keith this morning (Podcast! :wub2:), and you saw my snippet below about his campaign ad...

This really is like that horrible wreck on the highway that you know you shouldn't look at but slow down and stare anyway.

I find the most interesting part the poll - 47% believe Novack - 53% think he's lying. I would have thought that margin to be wider.

Bush to Embassy Employees--- you are verbotten to attned Ze Obama Rally.
The U.S. Embassy in Berlin has instructed Foreign Service personnel stationed there not to attend Sen. Barack Obama's public rally today, which the State Department this week labeled a "partisan political activity" prohibited under its regulations for those serving overseas.

Government employees serving in the United States are permitted to attend such events under the Hatch Act, which bars other partisan activity, such as contributing money or working in behalf of a candidate.

Wow. What an asshole.

Obama's approval rating with registered Latino voters, the nationwide Pew Hispanic Center poll found, is at 66 percent versus 23 percent favoring McCain.

Now the Reich-wingnuts hate him because he is popular. The cry-baby conservatives are getting on my nerves but *brushes shoulder* it will not matter. Let them whine and cry we have to stick to the issues - their emotional fits are expected.

Obama tried to tamp down expectations on his press plane today. He told reporters,

"I doubt we're gonna have a million screaming Germans," Obama said.

Half a million? asked another reporter.

"Let's tamp down expectations here," Obama said. "If we get a few tens of thousands..."

Obama said he "did not realize - my staff basically just told me that this space is bigger than I realized. So."

Asked a reporter: Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

"Uh, it's a potentially bad thing if nobody shows up," Obama said, laughing. "You know, we're sort of on the high wire all of the sudden. It's like, 'I'm sorry, how many people does this accommodate? How many?'...We really have no idea what's going to happen. Sort of a crap shoot. I'm happy with the speech though."

This just in:

Bob Novak says McCain is dropping out of the race. He says McCain is so mad about all the positive coverage of Obama that he can't get a fair shake so screw the election.

Breaking news - Bob Novak reports "I think I was played again for a headline and some media coverage for McCain" he added they might have been pulling his leg.

Comment by starling310 on 07/24/2008 14:53:12
Okay...he needs to stop using terms like "Options off the table."

Comment by capt on 07/24/2008 14:54:38
I bet this is another historic speech. He will do well. He will make some Germans mad and he will be an American nationalist - he has to. He will do it with grace and without offending people. He will speak to alliances both historic and looking to the future.

The M$M is drooling for a gaffe - he might give them a little one - NBD it is worth the free coverage.

Hola from Random, Your lord.

Now, Since i'm going to do a numbers blog, hopefully, and that i have school, work, and really a lot of numbers to go through, I'm asking for requests if anyone would like to see Congressional or Senate race numbers, or even specific state numbering on Obama percentages.
