My hope is that the Republican Party will disintegrate as it has become a parody of what it once was - a conservative party which could challenge the Democratic Party on a philosophic basis. The GOP is now supporting Ammon Bundy's position on federal lands while a Senator denies a duty that he would gladly take if there was a Republican president nominating a judge.

Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich is calling for the interrogation of all U.S. Muslims and their deportation if they believe in Sharia law. I fear that the GOP is now the refuge of scoundrels whose rhetoric recalls the worst of our history.

There are so many things that make me scratch my head about this pick.

It's almost as if Trump will drop out before November making Pence the nominee....
