Hi.... so...um... ya, not feeling very fluffy, funny or fierce at the moment. Can't turn on the news without wanting to cry and still just all kinds of pissed off. I'm sure we'll all move past this at some point to find our focus on how to get through the next few years. I am tired of hearing people say "it'll be ok" and "good people voted for..." , ya, no. Good people did not, selfish people did. See, still angry.

The resistance, however, started on 11/9.

Something that started in England, after Brexit, was the Safety Pin movement. A way to be a safe place. I'd really like to see that catch on here. We need love in the face of hate, kindness to smother ugliness. We need positivity to be a beacon. Darkness isn't good for any of us.

I want you all to know I love and adore you. You are my safe place and part of my family.

So, for Veteran's day, I have done the same thing I've done every year since 2001.

I took a group of young boys, and we BURNED FLAGS!!!!



A-HEM:

(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.


Concord always has a fine ceremony, not very far from Ye Olde North Bridge at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Alas, there is some road construction and other improvements going on this year, so I could not make my annual visit to Mr. Thoreau and other such luminaries.

As I suspected, I doubt the Trump University case will go far. Judge Curiel is suggesting to the plaintiffs that they settle out-of-court. Wouldn't be surprised if he's been threatened by Trump (legal) and the Trumpanzees (physical).

Welp, I'm off today, not for the holiday but I asked for the day off to do doctors stuff & apartment hunting.

I didn't intend for this to also be a day to get out & keep my head clear tho.

Trump may find that if he does not meet the expectations of his followers that they will turn against him.

I was thinking clashing supporters and protesters. He's is not the more mentally stable "fanbase" for lack of a better word.

Although, it looks like there was much election fraud between voter suppression and vote flipping. So, Donald Trump might not have even won those states.
