Good morning.

I have no subbing this week as my local schools are out on spring break. I am house sitting for friends and watching a beagle and a cat. As my neighbor is also on vacation, I am looking after his dogs.

I have an interview for a maternity leave position today, and another place wants me to do a video interview. I have so many irons in the fire, I feel like a blacksmith.

So, file under "hazards of retail". I've just bought another pair of deeply-discounted trail running shoes.

They're great to wear to work, but now owning a bunch, I feel compelled to take it up as a sideline.

But it's counter to everything I know as a Scout Leader - "NO RUNNING IN CAMP!!"

I'm extra happy that everyone is really stepping up big time for these special House elections. I've also swung ActBlue donations to Rob Quist's campaign for Montana-AL and to Jim Thompson for Kansas-4. There's another three special elections pending primary results.

I wonder if they are worried about the filibuster. He is too far to the extreme right to be put on there. The same reason Bork was rejected, and in retrospect, Scalia should have been rejected.
