President Donald Trump chided Democrats Wednesday morning after Fox News broadcast a story reporting that Democrats revoked former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page’s invitation to testify before Congress about his potential ties to the Russian government.
Page, who advised the Trump campaign on foreign policy issues, is one of a handful of individuals with ties to the president who find themselves at the center of ongoing investigations examining the possibility of collusion between the Kremlin and the president’s election team.
Page has denied that he had any inappropriate contact with Russian officials and on Monday, wrote a letter to Congress complaining that he might not be allowed to testify to that effect.

The president’s post was seemingly a response to a brief segment on the Fox News morning show “Fox & Friends,†known to be a favorite of Trump’s, of which Page’s letter was the subject. The panel of hosts on the conservative-leaning program appeared incredulous that Democrats might not allow Page to testify.
Rep. Adam B. Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Select Intelligence Committee, has not responded to a Roll Call inquiry about whether Page will testify. On Tuesday, Page said that he learned from Schiff’s committee that he “might not be immediately afforded the opportunity†to address the committee.
But in January, after Page was identified as being among people the FBI was "examining" for his alleged ties to Russia, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer declared: "Carter Page is an individual the president-elect does not know."
It wasn't first time Page has been in the FBI's crosshairs. He confirmed last month that he is also the unnamed man identified in a federal complaint against an undercover Russian agent as having met with the man four years ago.
Authorities said officers acted on a tip about 1:50 a.m. and saw the weapon in plain view in the vehicle, which had been turned in to a hotel valet by the driver. A Glock 23 was also found in the glove box, police said, along with 30 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition and 60 rounds of .23 caliber ammunition.
Bryan Moles, 43, of Edinboro, Pa., was arrested in his room at the hotel in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW, five blocks from the White House. Police said he was charged with possession of firearms without a license and illegal possession of ammunition.

Ok so I was told 2 things: 1) covfefe is/was not a meaningless term/word/code and 2) it is now. The goal was to distract. And it worked.
