It's April. Around these parts, it smells like spring. The cherry blossoms are at peak bloom. I have begun my new flower garden. Life is good.

It's also a holiday: April Fools day. In the future, it will be known as Illegitimate President's day. There is a dangerous, evil fool occupying the White House. That's no joke, friends.

This looks like it will be an interesting week. The House Judiciary plans a vote this week to subpoena Mueller’s report.

Here's to April, spring and rebirth. Come November 2020, we won't get fooled again.

The subpoenas should already be prepared, the supposed day for release is tomorrow. Just DO it.

Anyway, just about as ready for this weekend’s trip as I’m going to be. Got car washed and vac’d out. Found a mounting spot for the dashcam and made sure the cooler works. The Mrs will have a tablet full of stuff to watch. I just hope the cherry blossoms are still there by the weekend.

They should be, according to all the reports!

This is so messed up.

BREAKING

Tricia Newbold, a longtime White House security adviser, told the House Oversight and Reform Committee that she and her colleagues issued “dozens” of denials for security clearance applications that were later approved despite their concerns about blackmail, foreign influence, or other red flags, according to panel documents released Monday.

Newbold, an 18-year veteran of the security clearance process who has served under both Republican and Democratic presidents, said she warned her superiors that clearances “were not always adjudicated in the best interest of national security” — and was retaliated against for doing so.

He seems a bit 'concerned' about something this morning.

Was having a reunion weekend with my old college radio gang over the weekend. I haven't seen most of these people in between 10 and 30 years. When everything was done Sunday afternoon, I got home and crashed on the bed. Now, I have things to do today.

That would have been a good networking opportunity to find a new gig. Any luck there?

A lot of the people I talked to are no longer in the field so it was more a reunion than a networking event.
