The real Quid Pro Quo
Author: Raine    Date: 10/21/2019 12:51:04

I am sitting here, on a Monday morning trying to absorb what has happened in the past 24 hours.

That's it, just 24 hours. Between Mulnavey running his mouth on a Sunday Show, Pompeo stammering and stuttering and another Sunday show, Trump pulling out of the Doral, Speaker Pelosi visiting Jordan and Afghanistan, our troops having tomatoes at them -- this is an utter shitshow. That's just off the top of my head. There is so much more that happened.

All of the above is because one person is a narcissistic chaos agent who cares about nothing but benefitting himself. It continues because people enable him for any number of reasons but mostly I suspect it is their personal quid pro quo -- if they are nice to the occupant of the Oval Office and they can fleece our government and our nation. No one wants the gravy train to stop on the other side of the aisle because in admitting that it was indeed a quid pro quo to Ukraine, inevitably they know that they are doing the very same thing here in our nation with the White house.

It's the ultimate in self-dealing. Speak well of dear leader to maintain Power. It's gross, It's unpatriotic and it puts lives in danger. It's created global unrest and chaos. History will not look kindly upon those who chose to sit back and do or say nothing.

I wonder what new shoe will drop today, in the next 24 hours. This nightmare really has to end.

and

Raine

Morning

Spent a nice weekend up in the York/Gettysburg/Lancaster area doing a little thrifting. Found a bunch of lovely milk glass (I'm such a sucker for it) and some cools new places after getting lost trying to find an orchard

Only disturbing thing this weekend was the number of tRump signs I still see up there. I know the area is more conservative but I'd have thought they'd come back around to something more sane by now.

That sounds fun!

I love fall weekends like that.

You know, I find myself reacting almost physically to seeing those signs the way I do Confederate flags.

Oh same, there was a lot of gagging and automatic fingers anymore. I mean is it just me or are the Trashhole supports getting more aggressive lately? Like purposely being dicks?

Greetings, comrades. Tri-Slacker here.

I promise, once the busy season is over (two more Saturdays!) I'll be able to put some effort back into keeping this place running on the weekends.
