happy DayDay.

Every day is another day I am glad we have each other. I am still trying to process some messages I received from a friend over the weekend, and I may write about it later. She's fine for the most part, but she is a nurse at a nursing home in Upstate NY.

I am going to try to write about it but for now, I need coffee.

How are you?

&
Raine

Just a simple request to send Scoop some love over on twitter.

I am doing well. Most of my students are not doing their work. I fear a lot of them will be in summer school.

Mala, what is a Gish mini hunt. (For that matter, what is a Gish, other than the actresses?)

I guess you can only tell what day it is by what's on TV.

I love doing Gish , always so amazed to see how others do the items, and then I get Gish crash and wishing I'd done better. * sign * I keep trying though.

What is Gish? Gish is The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt. Its teams that range from 9-15 tackling an items list of about 200 items once a year for fun, creativity, and to challenge one's self. Its also a way to raise money for the charity Random Acts.

This weekend then did a Stay-at-home mini hunt as a fundraiser to support COVID- relief programs like No Kid Hungry, Save the Children, and Random Acts.

Hanging in there. Just wish I had money to pay my bills.

I am lucky that none of this has hurt me financially. My sister is on unemployment and I have sent money to her to help her, her husband, and my Mom.

How's the progress through those agencies Raine and Shelagh gave you? I bet they could help with the bills thing.

Still waiting on my SSI application since that review can take awhile and I mailed them some paperwork from the hospital.

We are in strange days indeed.

I won't be shocked if the national conventions are cancelled.

On a personal note, I just had a Zoom meeting for my students. Three showed up and we had four staff members. I hope more show up this week as I am doing meetings through Thursday.

I also have applications out to a few good districts. I fear that I may have to uproot myself, but I am grateful for my colleagues.

Greetings, comrades.

Was out with some other office folks today picking up some furniture for our new office that we were scheduled to move into on June 30. (HA!)

Mayor Walsh just contradicted the Governor and stated that Boston will not re-open on May 4; Governor Baker has not wavered on that date.

We'll see what happens next.
