That New Year Smell
Author: TriSec    Date: 01/01/2022 15:28:03

At least around the TriSec compound, it's stale champagne and last night's used fry oil.

Our breakfast tradition of many years is "fair style" fried dough, with some of that aforementioned oil.

I will be pleased to never type "2021" again. (<-- That's the last time, I swear.)

And we all thought the one previously sucked ass. Pshaw. 2022 better not get any fucking ideas.

(Off in the distance, those fireworks are bursting directly over where I work on the Long Wharf.)

Happy New Year!!!

I hope that 2022 will be better than the previous year.

I wish you all a year with as few regrets as possible, enough joy that it's never taken for granted, as much love as you need, and a hug as often as you want.

Happy New Year everyone.

What a lovely photo.

Fingers crossed as we start this new one.

Great way to start the year - on the warpath.

I don't think I widely publicized it, but Javi has been cavorting with a member of the opposite sex most of last semester. (Actually seems fairly serious, at his tender age.)

My mother-in-law...is racist. To the point where she actually wrote a letter to Mrs. TriSec expressing her concerns.

I anticipate a thermonuclear confrontation sooner or later, but as of this writing, she is no longer welcome in my house.

In more positive news, though - I seem to have dodged the Covid bullet.

At the request of our HR department, the potential carrier is testing on a daily basis. It's been over a week since exposure, and he still remains negative.

So I think the rest of us will be OK.
