In under two months the GOP will be the majority in the House of Representatives. It's time to get braced for the giant batch of chaos that will be foisted upon the Country. If elected as Speaker of the house, Kevin McCarthy has all but told everyone that his leadership will not be one of governance, but vengeance.
Yesterday, he drove that point home. He also plans on not allowing Representatives Schiff and Omar from serving on committees.
His becoming Speaker, it should be noted is still a big 'IF' as he needs to get 210 votes. It appears in order to secure those votes, he's making promises, like the ones above to satisfy MAGAT house members such as MTG, Gosar, and other insurrectionist-friendly members of the House.
In other words, nothing but harm will be given a green light starting in 2023. They say the most dangerous animal is a scared and cornered one and right now, this appears to be the GOP. They will end up eating their own. I mean, there isn't else to digest, to be honest.
They want to investigate the J6 investigators, Nancy Pelosi, Dr. Fauci and Hunter Biden. Any other 'policy' based directives are all based on false arguments.
Oh Wait! There's more: Gym Jordon has already said he wants to investigate Special Prosecutor Jack Smith, so that should be fun.
In two years, we vote the rest of the nonserious people out.

McCarthy told Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo on Sunday that Rep. Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Rep. Eric Swalwell (Calif.) and Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.) would be stripped of their committee posts if he becomes House speaker in January. (snip)
Earlier this year, McCarthy called for the removal of the three Democrats from committees in a promise that Swalwell said was “purely for retaliation purposes” following House votes to remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) from committees in recent years.
The California Republican said on Sunday that he’ll deliver on his promise before criticizing the group of Democrats.

With the Senate again narrowly in Democratic hands and House Republicans likely to hold only a small majority, the GOP’s biggest strength will be on the investigative front. Using congressional authority, a Republican-led House will be able to force administration officials on the defensive on a range of issues, from grievances over the COVID-19 pandemic to the personal finances of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

I hope that everyone is doing well.
I expect the GOP to focus on investigating Democrats and the Department of Justice. Also, I. see them risking the financial well-being of the nation. Expect threats to prevent raising the debt ceiling, with calls to privatize Social Security. (No other nation that I am aware of has a debt ceiling limit like we do.)

I have good news.
On Wednesday, I interviewed for a middle school position at a nearby district that would have better pay and full benefits. I was offered the job on Thursday and accepted. I should start December 5th.

In other news - I'm sure you heard about the fatal bus crash in front of Brandeis University in this city?
I'm mystified as a bus driver. The stretch of South Street where the accident happened is literally the only part of that street that is straight and flat. There should not have been any reason to plow into a tree.
Unless the driver had a medical, somebody crossed the center line and it was avoidance....or it was intentional.
The police are being very tight-lipped about it right now.
